Hi, It doesn't surprise me to read this. Year after year the government didn't look after the aviation business, they aren't just interested in it, recall all the different Belgian airlines that went down in the last ten years. The government didn't anything about it, look even to the DHL history, n...

To 757Mech: It wasn't my goal to accuse anybody, I've just written down everything the captain told me. And now it is my turn to recall: the mechanics didn't inform the captain that they would close the door... That is what I said. And then finally they did took off, and a new team of mechanics arr...

Well, JAF 23 doesn't seem to have said anything wrong after reading your own post, 757Mech... She didn't accuse anybody either... Dear Yes but accusing wrongly... there has been said that they, and I recall, "without having informed anybody else...they took off" sorry but that isn't right...

Yes, but they decided to close the cargo bay door in the front to do a run up of engine #2, without having informed anybody else. They already started to close the door, with still the loader in place, when at that time an other mechanic went to the captain who said that he didn't need a run up of ...

Hi 757, Definetly FRA-people! Like everywhere workfloor is multicultural. But I don't wan't to get in the wrong discussion here. It's indeed a managment problem, but by picking out some examples (from 1 handling company <ain mp>) you point you finger to this persons directly. But you didn't meant t...

AIN delay was indeed not caused by no pushback-driver. There was a strike at FIR at that time. Flycargo is completly right. I'll take back my words about thisone, no problem sorry... What did you wanted the guy to do with the forklift? Loopings? This was probably a guy from FRA, helping at OST. But...

OST isn't loosing cargo. Look at the figures on the website. OST is an airport who has to fight for it's cargo and customers every day. It isn't brought on a dish by politics, etc. True for sure But we're having a typical belgian discussion here. Instead of beeing patriotic, people like to give neg...

Don't forget that BRU is one of, or let us say, the most important cargo hub for SV. And operating two airports in one single small country is one to much. Moving the B747 from BRU to OST was due to the night restrictions. But fact is that OST is losing cargo on a high speed. I also heard rumors, y...

Re: BRU 12/08/2006

I noticed how this FQ A320 landed on 25R. While previous aircraft were exiting the runway at a previous taxiway, this aircraft took the next one and ultimately came to a full stop, possibly cutting the engines. Possibly the aircraft may have encountered some technical problems during this flight. h...

Yeah, of course it's quite hard for all those people who will loose their job in BRU...but I think we all have to get used to this... Did DHL offer the BRU employees to come with the hub to LEJ?
