Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal

Just a thought. Recently LH ordered a huge number of new airplanes for the group. Of course not for SN bcs of a lot of reasons LH gave. But look also at the mess they created. First to fire the management of SN which was able to make some profit. After the new one came and the disaster with EW start...

Re: BRU Winter 2019-2020: news, new routes, airlines

This month we can see also a very nice upgrade of Etihad. They will fly with their brand new B787-10 to BRU.
BRU is the first destination they will fly with it. The livery on it is also great.

Re: Qatar Airways news

https://twitter.com/ChopinAirport/status/1215617418216837120 Hmm impressive. Knowing that they started to fly to Waw at the end of 2012 with an A320. In 2016 they changed it into the A330 and in 2017 they are double daily, one A330 and one A320. So, to fly not that long it is impressive that they h...

Re: Air Belgium in 2020

What about Cape Town? You have to be sure also that you have enough planes. Don't forget they have only 2 own routes and a lot of medium long term subcontracts. The more you will fly on your own you have to make also some choices. And the money of course. Opening a new route cost really a lot of mo...

They obviously are tapping at the French market.
With the dismiss of a few airlines there and also close to the border is not a bad idea

They are financially stable now, all options are open, only the right choice needs to be made...my 2 bucks on MIA with TUI... ...call... MIA is again in the schedule for this year with TUI from BRU. 2 would be too much on this not easy route. If I'm not mistaken, KLM suspended also the MIA route. I...

A little change in the shareholders of BRU. Two new shareholders are added to the portfolio. We have now for the first time a Japanese investor and a second Australian shareholder. Re: Brussels Airlines in 2020

I have no access to any data to contest anything you say, just pointing out the obvious thing here: this second flight to Washington DC was an evening flight (late afternoon if you absolutely want it) and clearly wasn't very successful. It got rescheduled -with full agreement of United because of t...

Didn't this route start as an evening flight, only to be moved to the morning after one season? Clearly the suggestions to make it an evening flight by some above have thus been tested already and actually shown to be worse than flying at identical times as United! @all, Keep in mind the decision to have IAD (SN) year round is NOT a decision by SN, nor LH alone, but a common decision UA, LH, SN, LX ... They decide based on a network analysis, not some emotional/unilateral/... basis ... Whether it will be really succesful, we'll see, but at least they see the ...

Hi Atlantis !
Is SN going to get the A321LR ? A fact or a wish ?
I thought LH/CS said : no new investments in SN until they are profitable.
I suspect they could be profitable if we had SN only figures.
I'm speaking about UA who will receive the A321LR

Regarding the terminal itself, there will be a prolonging of the terminal in the direction where the former DHL building was. But this is still under reservation.
Interesting!

You mean where the current (old) Swissport builing is located?
Yes

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2020

For SN it is not the case to receive good slots in late afternoon or evening for long haul at BRU, bcs they will, but I don't know for sure for NY or IAD as we don't have that info. Why doesn't SN receive good slots in late afternoon or evening? Or did I misunderstand? It can be of course that SN w...
