F-RAFA was just moved from Melsbroek MIL apron to the business apron. Wonder if this aircraft will be taking Zelensky back to EPRZ?

Re: BRU 09/02/2023

Many aircraft for the exceptional EU Council meeting. But how is Volodymyr Zelenskyi coming? (Yes, I know, his movements are kept secret for obvious security reasons) My guess is he will be on one of the two French Air Force Falcon 7Xs (F-RAFA / F-RAFB), arriving EBMB at 0915 tomorrow morning. And ...

Landing in Rzeszow is estimated just after 2pm, so 12:15 departure from EBMB/EBBR makes sense.

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2021

Totally incredible. And utterly shameful. While many former employees are having to find their way in a new walk of life, and Belgian taxpayers are waiting for the refund of their (already unacceptable) 250M+ funding, this mediocre company finds no better way to spend our (not its) money than to des...

Not a single new destination. Just more cheap capacity on existing routes. And thus continues the race to the bottom.

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2018

Looks like Lufthansa Group registered the brand name Belgianwings already a long time ago. If SN is going to become an integral part of the EW Group, but will retain a distinct Belgian identity, Belgianwings makes a lot of sense. They could even keep the iconic b-tail. See the entry in the European ...

Brussels Airlines scraps flight because of ill passenger I was rerouted IAD-FRA-BRU on LH the next day, which included a very smooth ride on the 747-8 in LH's new C class. This apparently shows an efficient handling of the incident by SN staff. And can you tell us more about your nice flight on the...

TP602 OPO-BRU on 31 May 2013: bird strike

All, I flew OPO to BRU today on TAP Portugal flight TP602, a Fokker 100 CS-TPF, operated by PGA Portugalia Airlines. During take-off roll we experienced a bird strike and take-off was thereupon aborted. We returned to the apron and were told that the collision with the unfortunate bird had damaged t...

Head counts only happens on non-Schengen flights I believe? At least I saw it last summer on the BRU-Djerba-BRU flights I took with JAF, but never saw it before on flights in the Schengen zone with JAF. Why would the destination (Schengen or non-Schengen) be the only condition for a head count? I d...

Re: SN's LF throughout the day

Hi A330, This is an interesting question and, although I don't know the exact numbers of SN, it is a common problem for all European carriers who operate a hub-and-spoke model with arrival and departure banks. The fact of the matter is that European carriers that have a long-haul network, will sched...

Re: Speculation on Brussels Airlines' next TATL destination

Personally, I think b.air's next TATL flight should be an evening flight to NYC because business travelers would like to have a second flight to NYC, but in the evening, and the return flight should be able to offer better (shorter) connections with the Africa flights leaving BRU after 1400 hours. ...

Re: SN/FR/BRU/CRL controversy

This is a very interesting and important debate indeed. It is in my view no coincidence that Etienne Davignon's move came one day after a visit of Christoph Franz (CEO of the Lufthansa Group). LH is no longer in the same comfortable financial position they were in a couple of years ago, and Christop...
