Re: Belgian Air Force news
And I found out that it is currently flying in the Caribbean: it just took off from Willemstad (Curacao) to go to ...? What is the Belgian Air Force doing over there? Too bad nobody could give an answer to this question, except that it flew to Bermuda. Maybe a charter, but with a BAF flight numer? ...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2020
Same story here, not only with Brussels Airlines, but with LH Group. I tried to go to AGP in the beginning of September (usling the LH Group as I'm a Miles and More member), my wife and my daughter had booked earlier with Tui. First try : I booked BRU-ZRH-AGP r/t with Swiss in Business Saver and use...

Re: Anomalies in BRU-ANR-CRL-LGG-OST in 2020
I thought V1 was the speed at which there is no other option than take off?
Sounds quite a risky decision to still try to stop after V1...
But, I'm not a pilot, so just my (maybe wrong) thoughts...

Duke

The quarantine is a self-isolation in a designated hotel room for 14 days. Source: https://www.tourismupdate.co.za/article/mauritius-closed-december A 14-day quarantaine in a hotel in Mauritius isn't really a punishment I think... As long as one is allowed to leave the room and use the hotel ...

Re: TUI fly Belgium in 2020
OO-JDL flew Stuttgart-Detroit-Brussels
Was this also a special charter?
I notice TUI flies regularly to Pristina and Tirana.
Are those flights holiday charters? Quite strange to see those destinations in autumn/winter...
Can anyone explain the market for those fligths?

Duke

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2020
Last Sunday, I flew on SN 3802 From Faro to Brussels on OO-SNJ. I was pleasantly surprised by the friendly crew. Also the enthousiasm of the captain, and the information he gave about the routing was nice. He even came online to give extra information about the views of the Belgian cities in the fin...

Re: Impact of the coronavirus crisis on aviation
The above charge is not in line with the policy that Brussels Airlines announces for rebookings: You are right when it comes to rebooking... there are no extra charges, and only the difference in fares has to be paid... However, it seems to be that fares are different when you are rebooking or when...

Wow, how not to do customer service ... Well, to be honest, I'm really disappointed. My wife and daughter booked tickets on Tui for the same period (I didn't, because I'm a Miles and More member and wanted to be a loyal custormer..), and this morning already they got ta mail that the flight ...

Brussels Airlines doesn't fully refund booked tickets to Spain, not even Flex tickets. I havea Flex ticket Brussels-Malaga r/t from September 8 till September 12. When I don't fly, it is considered a voluntary annulation, and it will still cost me € 140,00, because technically the fligth is still op...

Only police is making those checks, but they are not always present everywhere, hence you could sometimes go to your plane without any check of your reasons for travelling. The gate agents will not stop you, and they are not allowed to do it. But if you travel to a red zone without any valid reason...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2020
The flights resumed. For Kigali, I have just saw that the SN A330 makes a day stop at KGL.It is quite unusual, SN operates flights to Kigali in the evening (arrival around 7:00 p.m. and departure at 8:20 p.m.) The plane arrives at 12:50 a.m. and departs the same day at 9:10 p.m. The crews sleep log...

I have just looked the 2020 summer network, for SN, i can't see Luanda and Freetwon. SN will also end service to Angola and Sierra Lone, after ended service to Conakry and Ouagadougou ? Montreal and Wahsington services are also canceled ? I've never understood the Luanda situation. Luanda seems to ...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2020
Swiss and Austrian are reconfiguring B777's into temporary freighters by removing part of the passenger seats, to operate cargo flights. I guess this is a rather easy modification that can generate extra revenue as the aircraft are still costing money, even when they are stored at an airport, becaus...
