It looks as though Aeroflot has done an about turn and decided to order the A350 instead. Ahhh what politics can do to an airline business. Nothing official. Lets just wait until Tuesday, when Airbus will announce their order tally for 2005 and if they have indeed reached their objective of 200 A35...

The Boeing 777-200LR Worldliner and 777-300ER have seat-mile costs that are 15 to 18 percent lower than the A340-500 and A340-600 models. Fuel burn is considerably lower -- 21 to 22 percent lower per seat for the longer-range 777s -- when compared to the A340-500 and A340-600. The 777 also uses adv...

Am sure that Airbus explained to Air Europe the kind of plane that they would be offering at least early specs of it anyway. Its true that the A350 is in the early process of getting its design freeze and specs and as I begin to understand that the A350 will be aiming more towards the B777 than the ...

I actually like the new colour scheme its neat and simple and not too boring like the shock horror that Tap Portugal are doing to its fleet.

Is it just me or does this particular aircraft seem to be very dirty on the top of the fuselage?

Lets just hope that JAA will carry out their work to maintain the good safety record European Airlines maintain. Lets hope that they attack these issues before its too late.

I would like to know who these airlines might be. Any guess?

If this incident had involved two B787 aircraft, I would like to know how the repair work would be carried out and at what cost. Am still a little sceptical as to how a full carbon fiber fuselage will turn out to be, in these situations.

Its amazing to see how well twin engined planes have evolved these past years. Congratulaions to Boeing for this great acheivement. Even though I still prefer 4 ENGINES 4 LONGHAUL. IF I ever had the choice of flying on the B747, A380, A340, or the A330/A350, B777, 787 I would chose the quads any day...

Its still too early to tell who may win this order, although am sure that Airbus has the foot in the door as they are practically tailor fitting this aircraft to the needs of Emirates. In the long run this may prove to be harmful to Airbus as they are focusing too much atention one on particular air...
