Re: C17 Globemaster

It is a pitty not more nato members have chosen this plane over the "late" A400. In the end of keeping endlessly waiting the RAF had to order the C17 and they sure do not regret it. Also other commonwealth countries like Canada and Australia chose the C17 and they to are marveled. In the N...

Re: Air New Zealand 1st in world to get 'stretch' Dreamliner

The B787-9 is even nicer than the "8" and the incredible new ANZ livery topples it.

Emirates A380 jet returns to Sydney after engine fire

"Emirates flight EK413 from Sydney to Dubai on 11 November turned back shortly after take-off due to an engine fault. Passengers are being re-booked on alternative flights," the airline said in a statement on Monday. A mid-air engine blowout in November 2010 on an A380 using Rolls Royce Tr...

Re: 700 jobs threatened at Brussels Airlines?

I just read in the "La Dernière Heure" that Brussels Airlines made a loss of 82 million euro in 2011.
I sincerely hope they won't follow the errors politicians made with Sabena.

 Why does this not affect the many Boeing 777-300/ER's :?: which are very long as well.

 Unlike Boeing, Airbus very often have the tendency to blame the customer and rarely put themselves in doubt.

Brussels Airlines should order several Boeing 787's before it is too late,

and some second-hand B777's (hard to find) for their reputation and

reliability. I already mentionned this several months ago in an other

thread.

Brussels Airlines remains too small

According to the following Luchtzak thread , second hand B777's are too large and too expensive for an airline as Brussels :?: https://www.aviation24.be/forums/viewtopic,p,167107.html#167107 How come that as the 777 aircraft proves to be a prize attraction (in sales) and an airline as Austrian Airli...

I do not understand why they keep using old planes ,apart from beeing cheap, it is a very bad choice in the longrun. :?: Brussels Airlines should have some level of Prestige :!: They should have taken the opportunity of Varig gooing bust, to take over some of their 8 B777's in order to raise their l...

In contrary , to the difficulty of finding a used B777 , it is not very hard to find a used A330-300, but the ever reoccuring PROBLEM is : PRICE.
