Re: Brussels Airlines in 2019
Unfortunately it's planned. Therefore no surprise. Shrinkage of SN is maybe necessary to better jump in long term. Lufthansa will outing the A330-200s on SN's fleet but also the Boeing 777-200s and 767-300s from Austrian by 2025. https://www.air-cosmos.com/article/lufthansa-fait-le-mnage-dans-sa-flo...

Re: BRU Summer 2020: news, new routes, airlines
A little off-topic, I have a small question: Why Brussels Airlines and Air New Zealand do not work together between BRU and Heathrow (codeshare)? If you would booking a flight between BRU and LAX (for example) with Air New Zealand, you need a connection in LHR Terminal 2 (Star Alliance). But the BR...

Re: BRU Summer 2020: news, new routes, airlines
Saudia at BRU is probaly not for the near future. The Kingdom still has to develop its tourist industry (which can be done a loft faster than in a country like Belgium). However, its tourism, imho, will mainly target arab/muslim tourists (I'm not saying there is no market for that in Belgium, but p...

Re: BRU Summer 2020: news, new routes, airlines
I know, the have very strong bound with AF/KLM, that's why they are also doing very well. They respect each other and grow together. This is strong contradiction between SN and LH... But DL has also very strong bounds with Virgin Atlantic. DL is really not a stupid company, they have smart manageme...

Re: BRU Summer 2020: news, new routes, airlines
Like we could read here in this topic regarding South Afrika and Kenia. Forget about the first one. SAA is in trouble for years and they also axed their IAD route. SN has not the planes. This route could be only 2 max 3 times a week but there are no candidates. Regarding South America. Keep an eye ...

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal
Will the SFB got a "new" outside SN livery (eurowohite) or just a cabin fit ? The Eurowings livery is quite fresh. I doubt it will be removed (remember: "Savings"!). And if it is changed, it will probably be a basic Eurowhite with minimal Brussels Airlines features: the titles a...

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal
Great... OO-SFZ is in the air, on flight SN371. I'm happy to see SFZ in the air.
SFB is inflight to Amman. So, i have a little question : Will the SFB got a "new" outside SN livery (eurowohite) or just a cabin fit ?

According with flightlevel, United's flight BRU-ORD will be operate by a 787-10 from april 2020.
Opening BRU-SFO by United is next step ?
Brussels will be a UA "european mini-hub" for 787 ?

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2019
One more time. It's a joke or "suicid squad" ? How is possible ? 2 consecutive days Please LH, make SN great and attractive. I pray for this, hopefull for september. [joke : on] You can call Air Belgium to operate this fly. OO-ABB is free in CRL ? [joke : off] Maybe KLM's PH-AOB (also A33...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2019
After the big delay on Dulles this Tuesday (more than 7h30!), Today it is the flights of Toronto and JFK which are affected by importants delays (check screenshot). It's incredible to see much delays in few days. I hope that the next Brussels Airlines strategic plan will be ambitious but also with f...

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal
@crew1990: Outgoing SFM-N-O-V have already left the fleet. SFY will leave this month. SFW will leave in November. SNG in December. SFU early 2020. SFZ in 2021 and SFT in 2022. Incoming SFP is MSN 645 and is the fourth (and final*) for DUS ops. SFP should start operating in September (replacing the ...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2020
Why not hoped BRU-IAH (Houston) or Newark EWR (replace JFK) by Brussels Airlines and BRU-SFO (San Francisco) by United. For more choice of connections beetween Africa and US. Does SN have planes to effectively fly to IAH or SFO? Both are further than any airport SN flies to. United is most probably...
