Re: Social actions at air traffic control service skeyes (Belgium) - possible air traffic disruptions

And for your information, this was not a 'wild strike', the strike announcement has been there for months and is still valid. While it was unexpected and unfortunate, the notice was there and the CEO knew very well this would happen. They have been fishing for a strike for months, and they managed ...

Re: Social actions at air traffic control service skeyes (Belgium) - possible air traffic disruptions

It seems like not all atco’s are a problem, but mainly the Christian ones have a poor and selfish mentality. So much for looking not only after yourself as Christian value. It’s ACV that callled for the wildcat strike today, while the socialists already agreed on a deal. Maybe banning religi...

Just a question, is it possible to nationalise ATC, give military ATCO's a proper training and have them do ATC?
Good question... This is done in Brasil ( this example comes to mind ) and other countries as well. So possible in Belgium?

I can tell you that for sure the talks with new possible airlines are stuck or even disrupted bcs of the strikes since the beginning of this year.

Like Sean1982 explained: you are a civil servant. So behave yourself please. Show respect towards those who pay your extremely high salary.
I for one think those high salaries are justified tough... But that's another subject I think

Re: Social actions at air traffic control service skeyes (Belgium) - possible air traffic disruptions

I do not understand that No politician is seriously intervening. The social mediator was appointed by minister Peeters. What else can they do more when a conflict between employer and employees isn't resolved? Peeters is the equivalent of a grad student in history who doesn't understand science. He...

Re: Social actions at air traffic control service skeyes (Belgium) - possible air traffic disruptions

Look, I get why they strike today, I get why they are disgruntled. It get the why . But the way HOW they strike now baffles me. A spontanious action, right in the busyest period of the day, leaving thousands of passengers stranded at BRU airport, to me that is inexcusable. This way atco's just bully...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2019

SN467 BRU-KGL-EBB-BRU is not operated today. Instead there is an SN489 BRU-NBO-EBB-BRU, operated by SFX that just took off at 10:50. HRYR/KGL is open for business and KLM flies in today so why has SN replaced the KGL stopover with NBO? Same planned for next Monday 29APR. Anybody knows the reason? T...

I am hoping it's a waffle plane. Would be amazing. Or a plane full of fries :D Others I'd really like: - A chocolate plane - Gaston Lagaffe / Guust Flater - Spirou et Fantasio / Robbedoes ( or just a plane with all the Dupuis characters ) A plane showing our beers would also be nice, but I think it'...
