Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal

Brussels Airlines, a.k.a. Eurowings will get a shitload of used A330s it seems. Not necessarily a problem tough. I didn't mean it as a problem, the A330 can offer a very comfortable ride and I agree that SN doesn't have +11hrs destinations for now. Nor could they with this fleet if they wanted to.....

Re: Air Belgium in 2019

To be completely honest I was always a bit skeptical about the business plan...

I think they had a better chance if they started operating out of BRU. But owh well....

Hindsight is always 20/20 they say...

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal

Maybe I was a bit to quick with my reaction yesterday. OS of course is in much bigger need of new equipment since their 767/777 are way older then SN's incoming A330-fleet, besides these fairly young birds are quite sufficient for SN ops... And LH wanting to get rid of thirsty A340's seems logical ...

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal

Brussels Airlines, a.k.a. Eurowings will get a shitload of used A330s it seems. Not necessarily a problem tough. the used A330's are all maximum 10y old so it seems with quite efficient Trent 700 engines. Not only that: Brussels Airlines doesn't really has flights of 11+ hours. Re: Ethiopian Airlines Boeing 737 MAX crashes between Addis Ababa and Nairobi

“Ever since the Lion Air crash, Boeing has been developing a flight control software enhancement for its Boeing 737 MAX type, designed to make an already safe aircraft even safer,” the U.S. aircraft manufacturer announced. The FAA says it anticipates mandating this software enhancement with an Airw...

Re: Airbus A320 and A320neo news

Airbus hinted at a decision in 2019 on whether to launch the A321XLR. Airbus has begun lining up tentative orders for a longer-range version of its A321XLR, as a formal launch is expected in 2019. Airbus is looking for 200-300 draft orders before committing to build the XLR. To be completely honest...

Re: BRU Summer 2019: news, new routes, airlines

It’s a fair discussion about the use of langages at the main belgian airport. I don’t see any problem with that, as long as nobody comes with stupid things like « fly over Brussels instead of Flanders », that’s the difficult part to avoid, I guess. Off course I meant "fly over Brussels and Flanders...

The REASON why the queue is there and so long: the young guys and girls in green polo, with " can I help you ?." on the back are NOT DOING THERE JOB. Re: Boeing 797 news

The 797 as it stands now is nothing more than a competitor for the Airbus A321neoLR. Airbus doesn't need to go back to the drawing board. Well, I know for a fact that they are exploring the A321XLR (not launched yet), it would be a A321neoLR but with even bigger fuel tanks to extend the range to 47...

Re: Boeing 797 news

SIAE is in June 2019 ;) I am actually not thrilled by the b797,( assuming it will be a single aisled plane ) nor by the a321LR (or XLR ) I get that the 'MMA' has to be filled, however, I do not look forward to sit in a single aisle plane to cross the Atlantic. Did it 1 time with a b757-200, the exp...
