Re: Flybmi ceases operations

Very sad for all people concerned. But not too surprising if you look at the figures they gave in the press release: 522.000 pax on 29.000 flights means an average of exactly 18 pax per flight ! Even if some of the non-profitable flights were paid for by their contractors (SN, LH, AF, Turkish,...) ...

Re: BRU 14/02/2019

I guess there will be some departures of governmental aircraft as well on 14/02 after the NATO meeting? If they arrived at EBBE, they might as well depart from there! I thought at least the "Doomsday Plane" was still at EBBR/EBMB? Plus, the GLF5 of Hellenic Airforce is shown by FR24 as "on ground" ...

Re: Alitalia near bankruptcy. Can it be saved?

Herr "xxxxx" Spohr should take a deep breath and blend out his Herrenmenschen-attitude: at least Wizz Air, healthy and successful on the markets it serves, has for sure no interest in getting commanded by a bunch of ruthless and soulless technocrats like his kind.

This is much clearer than the official press release!
Many thanks Andre! I tried to shorten all the news I found on the outcome of the press conference - and make them readable. ;)

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal

The SSJ's themselves were not the problem, but the cancelled and delayed flights were. And those could be solved with a good spare and/or maintenance management. I don't assume Adria does, but if a candidate to this tender offers SSJ-ops, backed with a better plan to limit disruptions: why not? Fro...

No, I wasn't on that charter flight, got aware of it as one Hungarian spotter friend asked me whether SN conducted scheduled flights to BUD originating in CDG. I told them rather not and that it was probably a charter or a re-positioning flight, although the latter one woulld have made little sense ...

Does anyone know the details of a rather unusual Brussels Airlines flight? It flew today under SN1191 on CDG-BUD (it was OO-SSA) - was that a re-positioning flight or some special charter?
