Re: Social actions at air traffic control service skeyes (Belgium) - possible air traffic disruptions

14th June, press release by the unions: results from the negociations are not good enough yet... management still hasn't given in to all our demands... there is slow progress, but most probably there will be no partial strike... https://www.hln.be/nieuws/binnenland/nog-steeds-geen-witte-rook-na-soc...

Re: 2019 Brussels South Charleroi Airport (CRL/EBCI) latest news

Digital remote control towers : skeyes has started a project for the airports of Charleroi and Liège to replace the physical towers. The intention is that both airports will be managed from one location. Fewer air traffic controllers will then be needed than in two separate towers. https://m.hln.be/...

Re: Brussels region noise regulation

If Brussels Airport closes during the night, say between 22h-7h, we kill 2 birds with one stone : Airplan noise and the staffing problems at Skeyes. I don't see how this would solve staffing problems at skeyes  Area control center is open H24, dealing with other traffic (approximately 90 flig...

Re: Social actions at air traffic control service skeyes (Belgium) - possible air traffic disruptions

A little taste of "deja vu" ? Air traffic controller shortage in Germany : "Delayed flights because air traffic controllers are missing: The German air traffic control wants to prevent this scenario in the holiday season. Re: Social actions at air traffic control service skeyes (Belgium) - possible air traffic disruptions

Yet people forget unions ARE politics. There is no difference. Representatives are elected, they have a color, and have advantages coming with the position. From the moment you chose a union, you are "colored" and you "join ranks". ...... No need to make a difference between unions and politics her...
