Jetairfly flight in October 2014 to NBE Tunisia - details wanted
Hello, I took a short holiday to Tunesia in oktober 2014 but forgot to log the flights. Does anyone have any info from old Jetairfly timetables? Below the info I still have from the flights: Origin: BRU (or maybe CRL?) Destination: NBE Enfida-Hammamet Tunesia I was there 11/10/2014 for 3-4 days, so ...

Re: Help. Flights to....
Christmas is indeed the most expensive time to travel to Manilla. My parents went a couple of years ago around that time. They flew from DUS with Emirates, around 900 euro/person I believe. My advise: hurry to a travel agency, they can find you the best deals, often cheaper then online with this des...

Re: Roma Ciampino - Brussels Charleroi with RYANAIR **SNOW**
These just prove how much Ryanair cares about its passenger's safety. Am I seeing people going down stairs dangerously covered with snow? Were passengers consistently being guided to walk over a snow-covered tarmac? I'm no expert, but I would guess that it is the handlers responsability to remove s...

Re: KLM retires the Fokker 50
KLM has made their choice. Why add another fleet type with the same number of seats?Airplanefooood wrote:In 2015 the Fokker 100 NG should perform its first commercial flight with pax on board says J.R. Jacobson, NG Aircraft. Perhaps KLM Cityhopper will order some of these too, seen their loyalty to Fokker a/c.

Perhaps if you're really lucky, but Kos isn't a big island. When I flew there a couple years ago it was on the 737-800, but they did not have both 767's at that time...

Re: Cityjet introduces new Premium Economy across network
It's just what most short-haul airlines are doing. They just rename business class into economy plus, because most business customers are told by their company they have to fly economy due to the economic crisis.
Same product, probably more or less the same prices, just a different name.

Re: BRU - LHR widebody trip (February 20-21)
Don't know about the terminals, but if you're lucky with the runway configuration, the first tube station out of LHR is perfect for spotting. When I was there a couple of years ago the planes literary came right over my head seconds before touchdown. You'd have to check the runway config to know for ...

Re: BRU - LHR widebody trip (February 20-21)
I did such a trip to MUC with Condor a few years ago, and they actually had dedicated evening check-in for flights that departed the next day at MUC. You might get lucky and find a desk that can check you in before the normal check-in desks open, or you might have to wait...

Re: BRU - LHR widebody trip (February 20-21)
How much did you pay for this trip, and which widebodies are you flying?
I assume you can check in online before you leave BRU for the flight back?
Why don't you just take the tube into the city for a couple of hours? 24 hours inside T1 and T3 might be a bit much, wouldn't it?

Re: Replacement of SN's Avro RJ fleet
Just to confirm air travel is not my cup of tea: why is nobody mentioning turboprops? Both Dash-8 and ATR42-72 are used on many short routes in Europe. Perhaps they are considered insufficiently comfortable for the quality airline that Brussels Airlines tries to be? Or is there a remnant of the old...

Re: Replacement of SN's Avro RJ fleet
Yes, it could be a moment of opportunity. Instead of following the trend, they could serve those regional markets with A-319 or B-737. ( to keep the communality ) That would mean more seats to sell to reach a break even point. But lowering the seat price would hurt the LCC's, especially Easyjet - a...

Re: Brussels Airport considering low cost terminal
Really, a management like this desserves not only to be fired, but to be fined for high degree of incompetence. A management's job is to make money. Moving the BAC offices to the satellite gave them the opportunity to renovate the complete '58 terminal from top to bottom. These offices can then be ...

Re: Terminal landside brussels airport: future
Does anyone have a rough idea how many pax (%) are *A and non-*A? If they build NT2 completely separate from A, B and the LCC terminal, wouldn't that be way to much capacity for non-*A carriers? Would terminal B be able to hold all the non-*A carriers, without the LCC? Then the solution would be rel...

Re: Terminal landside brussels airport: future
Hold your horses everyone! NT2 at the moment is just an idea it seems... Why would they start building a brand new terminal when the drop in pax numbers has just barely stabilized, and the main terminal is empty most of the day? Wouldn't a *A terminal mean taking the majority of the pax & flight...

Re: Why doesn't the Flemish government aid Brussels Airport?
You can make all the arguments you want, but the answer is quite simple actually... BSCA is 100% owned by the Walloon governement, while BAC is a private company, of which 25% is owned by the Federal governement. Why would the Flemish governement invest in an airport that is not theirs and that they...
