It has been many years since Air Mauritius stopped their direct connection to BRU. I used to hope SN might try MRU with TNR...but maybe it was a bit of a fantasy!
I hope Air Belgium's venture works out.

Apparently he says it's 16km south of Round Island. That would place it just off the coast of NE Mauritius, which is quite densely populated.

Air Mauritius used to fly to MRU, I think via ZRH? Or was it MRU-BRU-MAN at once stage? I can't recall...on both A340 and B767 I think.
bmi of course used to fly to BRU before they disappeared (though of course bmi Regional continue today).
