Re: Eurowings in 2019

Of course, I understood the article. But you are an LH agent who knows it all much better (as Always). No further comment. Have a nice day (if you can).

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2019

That's why, at best, SN will be stuck with mainly French-speaking destinations in Western and Central Africa, since LH has no intention to develop the BRU hub.

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2019

Finally, people realize/admit that with LH, we have been for some time already in a Sabena/Swissair scenario exposed by some forum members already a while ago.

Re: Eurowings in 2019

I only had time now to read the article in the link above. Interesting. Without going into details : former EW manager Müller is quoted saying : "Es sei schlicht "sehr problematisch, Interkont-Dienste nur auf Basis von Point-to-Point-Verbindungen anzubieten". Or : it is simply very problematic to of...

I hope the saga goes on for months/years; it's too good to be discontinued now! Any volunteer to number the episodes? :)
You must be watching "Thuis" or "Familie" every evening...

Re: Alitalia near bankruptcy. Can it be saved?

Sorry for the «broken record» : for those who were still in two minds, my «broken record» says : if you are not bound by a corporate travel policy, don't fly any of the LH Group airlines anymore, be it for business or leisure, and don't fly via Spohr's declared hubs (FRA, MUC, ZRH, VIE and FCO ???)...

https://www.aviation24.be/airlines/lufthansa-group/brussels-airlines/editorial-on-the-future-of-brussels-airlines-after-the-interview-of-its-ceo/ Congratulations, André. This is indeed an excellent synthesis of forum discussions on this subject. Thanks also for your personal comments. There is one t...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2019

You are totally right. A great synthesis of things I (and other forum members) said in previous posts. There is one point on which I disagree with you. Christoph Franz was not a different person (than CS). He was just as bad. He did not want to make the decision to buy the remaining SN shares and co...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2019

/ Conclusions: the Germans will have totally killed Belgian aviation. You can also see it in a positive way: BRU will be a big hub for one of Europe's leading LCC's! Wishful thinking, imho (sorry) Com Nonsense. 1) you are talking about commercial air transport only, not about the whole of aviation. ...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2019

Nothing in this thread about SN's recent long haul incidents ? Incidents due to poor maintenance ? Old aircraft ? Not very reassuring.

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2019

There used to be the three big ME3 airlines. They have been joigned by TK and now Aeroflot is following their strategies. Don't forget that Aeroflot is no longer a Soviet Union airline, it's an awards winning airline.

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2018

Concerning go-arounds, I'm not part of those who will find that a negative point for the airline, rather the contrary. Had several (AF in NCE, KL in GIG, LX in ZRH etc) as well as aborted take off. I prefer the pilot to stop the take off if there may be a problem, rather than having the problem when...

Re: Strikes affecting Belgian airports in 2018

(hey guys ! there is no point arguing with Passenger ; we have known for a long time that, according to him, workers are always wrong and management are always right) If the owners of Swissport and Aviapartner don't like to put more money towards the loss making contracts they can sack the managemen...

Re: Strikes affecting Belgian airports in 2018

I am not an economist, but my conclusion is that handling fees charged to airlines are too low (this probably also applies to Aviapartner) : suicidal competition !

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2018

A naive question perhaps, since I have not followed the situation : why is OO-SFU still not flying ? OK, engine problem for EIGHT days ? What's the reason ? (I know it's engine failure, according to members' posts, but why is the problem still not solved after eight days ?)
