Re: SN aircraft intercepted by French Rafale last June
The F/O must have been asleep too, as even if the F/O was expecting a B-Line callsign, he should have realised that there was no ATC contact for 20 to 25 minutes, which NEVER happens in European airspace. I dont know what time the incident happened, but have you ever flown over the bay of biscaye a...

Re: SN aircraft intercepted: pilots asleep
According to the spokesperson on VTM news it was a charter flight with a different callsign.
I can imagine if you always fly the same callsign and just for one day you have to use a different one that you forget it for a second (of a few minutes)
I even have used a company callsign in a cessna

Re: Kleine Brogel Air Force days
personaly my favorite was the Bleriot together with the joint fire power demo (to bad the KDC10 wasn't there) The smoke from Al Fursan seemed to be thicker and nicer in color than all the rest. Apart from the Bleriot, Mig29 and Ewacs there wasn't really anything new for me to see Nice lineup in fron...

The 200 seat version of the Max8 will have an additional emergency exit aft of the wing just like some of the -900's have now

Re: Ryanair in 2014
Don't know if it was already reported but for the first time ever I hear a radio commercial for Ryanair
It was yesterday around 1700 on StuBru.
Was very amazed by it cause it's the first time I see/hear a commercial for Ryanair outside of airports.

Re: Airbus A330 news
Isn't it very strange that there is a demand for a A330NEO?
They designed the A350XWB because the airlines didn't like the original A350 which was basically an A330NEO?
Or is this largely due to the the timing with the financial crisis?

Re: World Cup 2014 flights
Oh, some don't even have ACARS, because... well, you've guessed it: it costs too much... and the next thing you hear is their pilots on the ATC or handler's frequencies to find out who won 'for free'. and you also stil have 121.5 and some midwave radio stations which you can tune on the adf and lis...
