Re: Transavia to fly from BRU with 2 Boeing 737s in Summer 2020
In my opinion, BRU will, as Conti764 said, serve as a 'spill over'-base for AMS. At the end of 2020, AMS will again have the opportunity to grant airlines new slots, and one can assume that HV will move the BRU-flights to their home in AMS. Re: BRU Summer 2019: news, new routes, airlines

As far as I remember, in the past years, we always had a quite admirable list of new destinations (albeit seasonal) and new airlines (take last year w...

Re: BRU Summer 2017: news, new routes, airlines
Given the Qatar Airways booking system, they're upgrading their daily B787-800 flight to a daily A350-900XWB one, starting from june 2017! Something to look forward too! Something nice I found on the internet as well is this article: http://www.andina.com.pe/Ingles/noticia-brussels-airport-seeks-di...

Re: BRU Summer 2017: news, new routes, airlines
Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Etihad Airways announce a (major) expansion at our national Airport? I read somewhere they would come double daily, but already a long time ago... anybody more news on it? Did they mean the new cargo flights? Btw, didn't know where to put it else, so sorry for the...

Re: BRU infrastructure: future
It might be too simplistic, but why not extend the taxiway at the other side (south) of the runway. This means that the planes cross the runway while taxiing, but that is very common on a lot of airports. Then no houses will need to dissapear? What about the asylum centre and its surrounding buildi...

Re: BRU infrastructure: future
In both of those cases, Humelgem will be surrounded by aircraft. Even houses would have to disappear. This will be the main source of complaints imo... but I can't see any other way to be able to let aircraft take off on 25L then to extend the taxiway already exesting, parallel to the runway.
