Re: Poll... SN-LH-EW whats your feeling ?
The constant struggle to raise enough cash only to survive and soldier on, is finally over. From now on, if there's a good case for investment, they simply call Frankfurt and the money will follow. Who cares if the Belgian flag carrier will be called say Belgian Wings in 5 years time, when it means ...

Re: Ryanair in 2016
I've read here ryanair's CEO will soon visit Belgium for his yearly PR press talk and the round up of their already known summer program as well as some other news for next winter hopefully Not quite what was expected and far from stalling too ;) Just 1 plane extra at BRU and nothing at CRL? Great....

Re: Ryanair in 2015
Don't tell me Sean, I know all those rules FR refers too, and I also experienced first hand the consequences of them being thrown out in court: if the same were to happen here in Belgium, you're not going to like it and MOL will not help you even for a second, believe me. If all the duties wh...

Re: Ryanair in 2015
FR doesnt have any ground officers ANYWHERE in europe besides DUB. We have a crewroom in every base for crew to do their pre flights duties and that's it :) Who do you think hangs the memo's on the wall, replies to the stream of mails from DUB, keeps an eye on the local workforce and briefs them on...

Re: Ryanair in 2015
When you work in this industry for a living, it's not about being a fan of this or that airline: an airline is not a soccer team is it? It's just an employer where crew try to make some good money and combine that with a decent social life! Let me tell you something: there are a whole bunch of Belgi...

Re: Ryanair in 2015
I genuinely hope for all my friends still left behind allover europe hoping to get back to Belgium one day... I'd say: bring it on, at best next month already, so they can start this winter still. On second thoughts, you're not again trying to sell that story of: "this is just the first announc...

Re: Ryanair in 2015
What a joke that is, their much tooted summer expansion for Belgium! Most of what I see is rehashing previously announced flights and moving around some routes between CRL and BRU, calling all that "new routes" for both bases, but other than that???? Yeah, an extra daily on BCN and...

Re: Ryanair in 2015
passengers arrive at the boarding gate and ASK THEMSELVES for their bag to be tagged and loaded into the hold, thus having their bag checked in for free. Passengers that REALLY want their bag with them buy priority, a premium seat or business plus. allow me to analytically dissect what you just sai...

Re: brussels airlines (SN) market share @ Brussels airport (BRU)
I know what stalling means; read the topic title, its about market share and you're right, you're not stalling, you're currently plunging even. Oh dear, not enough planes; what a joke. FWIW- tens of planes are parked over winter, but as good as noting happened either, did it? WE are in shortage of p...

Re: Paris Air Show 2015 (Salon International du Bourget)
Nothing really special about that 789 demo indeed. Exactly the same as last year.
Besides, its more to do with the angle from which it got filmed than the display itself.
Pretty boarding if you ask me: wake me up if something interesting happens, like an A380NEO order from my airline, Emirates.

Re: brussels airlines (SN) market share @ Brussels airport (BRU)
The guy is right, Sean! He's not saying Ryan isn't growing from Brussels, he's saying others are growing even faster. Just because you add a few flights and fly some more passengers than last year doesn't mean you are closing in on anybody; the others are actually growing much faster than you, so th...

Re: Lufthansa to start Nairobi from Oct 27
Has anyone any idea why SN agreed to the NBO/ACC swap ? Or what are the real reasons behind it. Because they were likely losing tons of money on it, maybe!? Nairobi is so close to the middle eastern hubs and so far east in Africa, whereas Belgium is so far in the west of Europe, the only feed (apar...

Re: Did Brussels Airlines hire 20 Lufthansa student pilots?
I've been through the full Ryanair training cycle, so I know exactly what I talk about: Everybody flying for them needs to pay much much more than the full cost of the type rating (they make a good profit on it), after which an employment contract with some broker is awaiting you (never a direct emp...

Re: Ryanair in 2015
What a clown, that ex boss of mine! Ryanair is nothing but the flight school of Emirates, Qatar and Etihad, with literally hundreds of his experienced pilots participating in the assessment program to join one of the major airlines of this world in the Gulf. No surprise if you know the work/pay cond...

Re: Ryanair in 2014
He said Ryanair will double in size in the next ten years and is already the world's biggest international airline with 71 bases, 183 airports, 1,600 routes and 2,000 flights a day. What a joker! He's nowhere near the biggest airline! Ryanair is just a regional airline, operating a fleet of a coupl...

Think about this for a second: Flanker2 probably spends a lot of time posting on hln too, or do you really think that somebody as obsessed with this topic can refrain from posting his opinions there and limits himself to just reading along and quoting from it here? Of course not! That's not his styl...

Re: Ryanair in 2014
Belgian airlines of Ryanair, both are crap to work for really. Having previously worked for both of them, all I can say is that the flag waving by Sean about his bank account or others about their social rights is all pretty pathetic really. I decided to make the switch to Emirates some time ago and...
