Re: Ryanair in 2015

I agree its no big deal, but I wouldn't call it a non-event either. Not only is it indicative of mediocre product standings, it may actually be labeled a sanitary issue even And here we go again! The same people who think it is OK to put passengers with a potential communicable disease for 6 hrs in...

Just publish an RNAV, much cheaper and quicker than installing an ILS.

Re: Four dead in the crash of an Embraer Phenom 300 in Hampshire

It may well have been. But why are we once again speculating instead of patiently waiting for the official investigation? But the report is already available Jan! Click on the link in passenger's post. RoD at 500ft was 2500fpm, the aircraft crossed the threshold way too fast and landed 700m beyond ...

Landing from an unstable approach is a common cause of accidents.
Flanker is alluding to a possible criminal act, but I think there are other ways to do this as going off the runway end at high speed is not a guarantee for "success"

Re: A Boeing piece found near Liège.

Passenger- please don't read what is not written!
We were talking about the airworthiness of the aircraft. Will you stop driving your car whenever you loose the little door covering the petrol cap?
Of course the falling part could've caused damage on the ground, luckily it didn happen.

An aircraft can be despatched with some pieces missing for up to several months. Usually this results in performance and or fuel penalties.

According to other sources, they had filed both AMS and EIN as alternates, but EIN refused to accept them. http://avherald.com/h?article=489d4c3f&opt=0 They requested EIN first, but EIN didn't accept them. An urgency (pan) call at that time would have forced EIN to accept them. For Inquirer: An...

Re: Abnormalities in BRU-ANR-CRL-LGG-OST in 2015

I d love them to exclain how yet another low cost airline doing the same and thus being equally close to catastrophe in less than ideL situations (and equally lucky in my eyes) can help them somehow with that? 2 wrongs never make a right, in my eyes, but okay, it seems it does for others. Bad gener...

Re: Three Ryanair "emergency" landings in Valencia on same day

A couple of facts/explanations from a frontliner: - the verdict is clear: Ryanair complies with the existing fuel requirements. - the court states that they could have taken more fuel, this is absolutely correct, but that wouldn't have changed anything. This is how it works: typical diversion fuel M...

Some here seem to forget that SN has been kept artificially alive by state aid and loans/guarantees of LH. The only chance to survive is an integration in LH. LH will dictate the rules for such an integration otherwise there will be no integration at all, but whats in a name?

C class on the EK 380 is awesome, by far superior to what European carriers offer. I have business friends who prefer a stop in DXB to a direct flight because travelling C class on EK 380 is so comfortable.

Re: Move Brussels Airport to a new place (ask the Nimbies)

Most of those people bought their house knowing that it was close to an airport I agree, we move the airport. As the houses around the old airport wil rise in value, owners will have to pay a 70% tax on this profit. Rents can go up by 50% as well. This tax will then pay for the new airport. Sounds ...

These are simply amazing growth figures, not just in volume, but also in the capacity offered: on a par with many of Europe's most aggressive low cost airlines in fact. They must have been pretty confident to be able to fill all those extra seats offered and it seems they were right indeed. Well do...
