Re: Social actions at air traffic control service skeyes (Belgium) - possible air traffic disruptions

In the meantime at one of your most precious customers. https://www.tijd.be/ondernemen/luchtvaart/bijzondere-ondernemingsraad-maandag-bij-brussels-airlines/10138083 You could assume that the millions of EU261 costs generated by these work stoppages/industrial actions/staff shortages have nothing to ...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2018

Happens everywhere... even at the real BA. Point is, you could not even solve this with 20 additional voluntary staff and a packed call center... it will always be a mess. Having a handler(s) that is well prepared for icing conditions could be the start... There is a structural problem when only 2 o...

Rumours, rumours & rumours!
Let's try, all of us, to just focus on the facts instead of acting out emotionally.
Today was a great lesson.

Fully agree. You can fight the inevitable but it won't get you forward.

Re: Go-around on Air Berlin's final long-haul flight #AB7001

Special flights are proceeded by a risk assessment. I would be curious to see if there was a risk assessment for this maneuver.

Re: Air Berlin files for insolvency as Etihad pulls funding plug

I still think that you should never force passengers into an uncomfortable situation if it's not required. Some passengers might have liked this... but do not forget that there are also passengers in the back that just fly because it's necessary to get from A to B. Some of them not feeling relaxed a...

What does it matter? Brussels Airlines is LH Group, no?

This topic is created by the unions and benefits only the unions... The real purpose of this thread is not to improve the working conditions of these 20 Nobox crew. Don't be fooled.

Re: BRU Winter 2017-18: news, new routes, airlines

It's a win win for both airlines and a good synergy for the Eurowings Group.

Who cares about business class service on a 1HR intra European flight... as long as the service outside the aircraft is guaranteed (lounge access, priority check-in, flexibility...).

Re: Abnormalities in BRU-ANR-CRL-LGG-OST in 2017

Being AOG in LFW or FNA is not a gift. It's not compareable with an AOG situation at a large international airport that is served by many maintenance organisations that have local stock. It's not because an aircraft is AOG that it is falling apart. There could be a million smaller issues that keep t...

Re: Lufthansa buys the remaining 55% of Brussels Airlines

I would like to share this view. In my opinion this looks more like a friendly take over, rather than a hostile takeover. Furthermore I see oppurtunities rather than restictions for the current Brussels Airlines. Synergy is not always a bad thing, it can also lead to interesting benefits. It was a p...

That's not true... The aircraft that replace the ones leaving the fleet are tcx and cfg metals.
TCW is in a transition period. In summer 2015 the fleet will have a new cabin and the sunny heart livery.

Re: SN aircraft intercepted by French Rafale last June

Fact is that a lot of pilots don't take their rest as they should and that is in my opinion the main cause for fatigue incidents.

It's easy to blame this callsign incident to fatigue. However I believe not knowing your callsign is just stupidity.

The Thomas Cook flight Palma-Liège of friday afternoon was delayed because of a breakdown and took off 10 hours late. Instead of going to Liège, it landed at Lille. The passengers finally reached Liège 13h30 late. Explanations of Baptiste Van Outryve : - the security is first in our préoccupations ...
