Re: Swissport Belgium nv/sa bankruptcy

Just a question to those who know : when a GHA gets a licence at BRU after winning the tender procedure, must he apply the same GH fees to all airlines working with it or can/may he negotiate individual ground handling fees with the airlines ? Thanks ! Handling agent is free to negotiate prices wit...

Re: Brucargo 2020: cargo routes & news

Explains why I have seen the UA tail quote often at remote stands the past weeks. Indeed, United has been operating cargo flights with their B787-10 for a while now. We also saw a lot of Cargojet and Amerijet operations, mainly from MIA and CVG. Cargo jet is flying mainly for Air Canada. This week ...

Re: Brucargo 2020: cargo routes & news

It used to operate flights to BRU on behalve of 1 customer, as they leased the capacity for a vertaling period. This time they operate on their own behalf. So Yes, they flew to BRU before but at the same time, they are more or less new...

Re: Brucargo 2020: cargo routes & news

There was and is enough demand and support on the market, even to have a full cargo plane based on BRU so serve vertaling markets. But, and logic, it is more efficiënt for LH to consolidatie in FRA and thus to truck cargo from BRU to FRA.

Re: 2020 Liège Airport (LGG/EBLG) latest news

People is not the problem in BRU. But they are also getting already extra flights. And depending on the handling agents, the situation can be very different from airline to airline. Also, a lot of airlines were forced out of AMS due to slot restrictions in recent years. And suddenly they get slots, ...

Re: 2020 Liège Airport (LGG/EBLG) latest news

LUX is facing Manpower issues, and priority Goes to cargolux. And also LGG is seeing Manpower with handling agents as the biggest bottleneck at this moment. Same at other airports. That is reason why some airlines like to put some flights at different airports rather than consolidating at a few or a...

Re: 2020 Liège Airport (LGG/EBLG) latest news

So where is the bottleneck ? Why is qatar sending flights to maastricht and basel ? Any pictures of the new parking spaces ? The question is... where did you get this from? Why that question? QTR is still flying to LGG, why would flights to MST & BSL imply there is a "bottleneck" in L...

Re: Social actions at air traffic control service skeyes (Belgium) - possible air traffic disruptions

Phoenix, a few questions: - what is the abscence rate of atcos due to ilness in %? - if we understand you correctly, this is going on since many years. But at the same time a lot is being done to hire additional staff, but training takes time. So why suddenly these actions at a time where you would ...

Re: 25-26-27/10/2018 Aviapartner strike at Brussels Airport

No it’s not. It’s not Brussels airport that needs to do anything about workers that pay for aviapartner. Aviapartner needs to negotiate a contract which allows them to do their business properly. That’s not Brussels airport’s responsibility. Ok, but then you get situations like these. For example: ...

Re: Amsterdam flights capped; some cargo operators compelled to move elsewhere

And what should Schiphol have done to avoid this? If an airline has traffic rights and gets slots for an airport (which are all done by other entities), how can Schiphol refuse them to fly and operate?

Re: Amsterdam flights capped; some cargo operators compelled to move elsewhere

Airlines are still looking for logistic gateways and hubs, not a runway. Otherwise there would be enough alternatives with Ostend, Maastricht, Liege, Vatry, Hahn, ... Except for integrators and some specific operations or alternate for the main hubs, they all still struggle to get the carriers in. T...

Re: Amsterdam flights capped; some cargo operators compelled to move elsewhere

Kalitta flights as well as Air Cargo Global are charter flights, not related to the AMS situation. Kalitta will move its 2 scheduled flights that have lost their slot to MST. Qatar is not affected and keeps its existing slots at Amsterdam. Emirates is indeed considering BRU as one of the options but...

Re: Brucargo 2017: cargo routes, news

Emirates might be an option, Cargolux is loosing slots they were not using. So no need to replace flights. Same goes for example for Saudia.
