Re: Ryanair luggage policy
If I want to fly from Marseille to Marrakech it's better and cheaper to use Atlas Blue-who allow 10Kg of hand-luggage and 20 Kg of checked in luggage..at fares cheaper than Ryanair if I wanted to fly with 20Kg of luggage.. It's a no-brainer to use other airlines if one has some items to transport.. ...

Re: Also troubles for Lufthansa-Austrian merger ?
EC are somehow biased in that they should have closed down Olymic Airways and Alitalia since many years for illegal state-subsidies. France offers special loans to their car-industry.Banks get subsidized by the billions every week. And when airlines like LH are trying to save literally bancrupt enti...

If the average citizen has still not discovered the truth about the Brussels bureaucray- I can't help them. It's a nest of "profiteurs" ,lobbyists,black-mailers and crooks.Nothing positive will ever come out of those egg-heads brains. It's -what we call in French "..une usine a gaz&quo...

Re: Brussels Airlines to Johannesburg??? Any chance to reopen?
Your comments are well reasoned and obviously flights into Central Africa yield better than South Africa, despite the shorter flight-time. But don't forget for the price-sensitive clients SN will get a Lybian competitor called http://www.afriqiyah.be/destinations.html who seems to target SN network v...

Re: Brussels Airlines to Johannesburg??? Any chance to reopen?
I've done three time Brussels -Johannesburg in a different life on SN (Business) and each time the flights were well booked-even in C-Class .To me Johannesburg would be a kind of mandatory destination for the "Africa-Experts" within STAR alliance.I even would continue the flight into Durba...

Re: New destinations from THY
If you add all the other German destinations that are served by THY ( NUE,HAJ,CGN, ) you reach a wopping 225 flights on THY alone...that is without taking into acount seasonal special flights into more than 6 different Turkish airports like Ankara,Adana,Izmir,Mersin or Dalaman.. Add the flights oper...

http://img91.imageshack.us/img91/3020/eurocommissarisneel7115nh8.jpg This ruling is inapropriate at least -since all other airlines had an opportunity to aproach SN for a merger or buy-out. Ryanair to withdraw 6 planes from HHN...
Based on a decision by the airports operator,FRAPORT,to chage a new 3€ passenger charge in order to make the airport operation profitable.Currently HHN charges only 15.5€/pax -way below what the charges in France are.(from 26-32 €..)
