Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal

Ok, lol :P Small note: " we fly you to the home of the Belgian Red Devils & Red Flames " is a very long text! I've always wondered why they didn't go for the simpler (and easier to read) " Flying to the home of Tintin/Tomorrowland/..." Anyway, it's nice to see the ta...

Ah, I see, you’re talking about the 7 steps to the White House game; where everyone in the world can relate to someone in the White House in 7 steps.

Re: Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 is missing

If you prefer the original, follow the link: https://www.theatlantic.com/magazine/archive/2019/07/mh370-malaysia-airlines/590653/ Well that was quite the read. And the best objective summary out there. Hopefully someone will find the last resting place of MH370 someday. They did find Titanic after ...

Re: Kalitta 747-400 Dumping fuel

The news report on this site https://www.aviation24.be/airlines/kalitta-air/mechanical-issue-boeing-747-cargo-departed-brussels-airport/ ...links to this topic saying "Forum member BigJets witnessed multiple explosions as the aircraft passed above Meise, just North of Brussels." BigJets c...

Re: Kalitta 747-400 Dumping fuel

Isn’t it common to declare emergency after a compressor stall? But to go and dump fuel over the North Sea, and then going 2000km or so to LEJ at 7000ft... seems a bit excessive when you’re passing all sorts of alternates, no?

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal

So today was the 7th of November and it seems nobody brought this date up. O tempora o mores in a way but on the other hand it is probably good altogether to have turned the page. High time if one wants to live the current chapter .... while it is still open. H.A. Well Sabena has got nothing to do ...

Re: Air Belgium: a rebirth?

Looks like the small Fokker 50 airline VLM may be operating Airbuses to China before Air Belgium which has been waiting for their start up for what 1-2 years? Good for VLM off course but how is it that an airline operating small props and going belly up can get permission to operate Intercontinenta...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2017

OO-SND just landed at Boa Vista (Cape Verde) after a 5h43' trip as SN3837. This flight has about same distance and same duration as BRU-Dakar flights. It reminds me of the discussions on this forum on the use of A319/A320 for some of the SN's Afi flights (remember Flanker2? ;) ). It might be worth ...
