Re: Brussels Airlines in 2018

At least, what is positive is that Brussels Airlines is back in track with business destination. And not again, holiday destination.

Internship

Hello, I'm writing here because I'm kind of despair to find an internship. Beside my job of cabin crew, I'm also a student in International trade (commerce extérieur/buitelandse handel) I'm looking for an internship and I must admit that it's not that easy as I fly 2 weeks ON 2 weeks OFF and that I ...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2018

I have wrongly expressed myself, for which I apologies: I wanted to say that it is legally not allowed to strike in another country than Belgium, but that doesn't mean that the aircraft will all return to Brussels on Monday and Wednesday morning. Actually, the union asked the pilot on outstation to...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2018

If all the aircraft are coming back in the morning from outstation, I wonder where all those aircraft will be park as it will be the first time in Brussels Airport with 50+ Brussels Airlines tail. It might be interesting, hoping there will be some spotter.

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2018

But if there is a strike on monday and wednesday, all flight on SN metal are cancelled nor the one coming from outstation because the pilot have to bring back the aircraft to the base. But as the last flights on Monday and Wednesday, with the aircraft normally staying overnight at outstation are can...

Re: Wizz Air in 2018

Wizz Air will install 239 seats in its A321neos, which will begin arriving in January 2019. The carrier’s current A321ceo has a 230-seat configuration. Only 239 seats? When will airlines change their seats to half seats so they can squeeze more people in so more profit.A seat where you can half sit...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2018

If I can just add something Poiu, you said that at Lufthansa, they work less day a month. What you say is right but let me just explain the reason. Flight crew and cabin are limited to a certain number of "block hour". You can fly a maximum of 900h per year, and 100h per month (28days). In the case ...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2018

Of course there would be complain, we have some good working condition at Brussels Airlines, not perfect, it can always be better of coure but I think most of us are very happy with our condition. The proof is that strike by SN employee is quite rare. While in Lufti you almost have a strike once a ...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2018

This way of working is the one of Swiss actually with their holiday brand Edelweiss Now that you mention this, why has Edelweiss not yet been completely merged into Eurowings? Another proof that the Swiss and the Austrians are treated in a different way than the Belgians? Come on Austrian and Swiss...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2018

In my opinion, Brussels Airlines should be split in 2, keep the business and long haul market under the Brussels Airlines brand, (or any other stronger brand, because let's be honest, marketing wise the name Brussels Airlines is not very "strong", look at Air Belgium, they just started, and everybod...

Re: Cancelled services and discontinued routes in 2018

Did Ryanair stop its BRU-HAM route? don't seem to find any flights anymore... Also, SN didn't publish Yerevan in its April magazine anymore, but there's still a two weekly flight in summer. SN is not flying to Tunesia, while I thought it would take over that route from Thomas Cook? If you refer to ...

Re: BRU Summer 2018: news, new routes, airlines

I truly think that Eurostar is the most convenient way to travel from Brussels to London. No need to convince me, I totally agree. But I can tell you from my experience that when you travel last minute like I did for 1 year that Eurostar is often the most expensive. This is true that you have to pay...

Re: BRU Summer 2018: news, new routes, airlines

When I was still working for Germania in LGW, I was going back 2 or 3 times a month to Brussels, I traveled only one single time with Eurostar because it was often the most expensive option. Most of the time I was traveling with Eurolines as it was the cheapest option, or with British Airways or Bru...

Re: Air Belgium in 2018

Actually I don't care where the shareholders comes from, as long as employee based in Belgium are under a Belgian contract and paying their taxes in Belgium. But saying Air Belgium is the only "Belgian" airline is to me very unfair.
