A connection between BRU and the US West Coast (LAX?) would be nice.

But can the A321XLR take enough cargo ?
Conti764 wrote: 22 Jul 2020, 11:24 They don't need the range of the A350.
As more long haul destinations are part of the 'plan', maybe they can use them in the future?

Finally a deal, and it seems a good one.

Godspeed, Brussels Airlines! I hope they become a healthy company again (financially) and have a great future once this horrible virus is gone!

Re: Brussels Airport (BRU) infrastructure: future

As expected.....

Such a pity they don't use this opportunity to create a great new, unified design for the entire front facade. Now it's again typically Belgian: different styles of 'koterijen' (sorry for the word ;) ) next to each other. We'll never learn I'm afraid.

The front facade now will be done in full, not partially
Question: will the entire front facade (part 1 + 2 on below image) get a new, unified design/look, or only the oldest part (2)?

Re: Belgian Air Force news

The Belgian Air Force is reducing the flying hours of the 4 NH90-TTH helicopters, as they are called 'unreliable" (they break down all the time) and they cost more to operate than an F-16... Expected is that they will be sold in a couple of years. https://m.mil.be/sites/mil.be/files/article/ORB_7320...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2020

Nationalising SN or even launching a newco is the only option. Not sure about starting a completely newco, but I'm starting to think that nationalising SN would be indeed the best solution. - drop the leisure destinations, focus on business routes - invest in long haul - change company name to Sabe...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2020

In any case, there has to be a deal on MONDAY and not a day later. All these rumours about bankruptcy are deadly for the image of SN (or any company in this situation).

No one is going to book a flight with an airline that 'seems' on the verge of bankruptcy. This uncertainty has to stop now.

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2020

People say the Belgian govt is 'powerless' compared to LH Group, but if they hold the African rights and can decide to grant them to an airline of their choice, they can surely use this in the negotiations, no? Tui is changing itself and AB lacks the resources to take over SN's flights to Africa. An...
