Re: Lufthansa in 2020

Apparently the German government wants LH to keep its current orders with Airbus, as part of the 'rescue' deal.

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2020

When I see those logos of Austrian and Swiss, I can't help to think that Belgian Airlines would have been a better name for SN, it could be used as simply 'Belgian'...

Haven't seen a picture of it unfortunately. https://www2.deloitte.com/content/dam/Deloitte/be/Images/promo_images/impact-report_innovation_gateway-office_68_900x900.jpg So the side is done in the same way as this? I presume we're talking about the bottom part with the narrow windows and the all-glas...

How about the modernisation of this (Soviet-looking) façade? I thought they were renovating it a few months ago? Is it finished?

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2020

From what I heard in the press conference the main focus seems to be business, so it seems that SN is shifting towards the LH and LX strategy and may become a more high quality carrier. But guess we'll have to wait and see. Finally I would say. Stop the competition with LCC and focus on the higher ...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2020

VRT reports:

SN will be cutting:

- 1000 jobs
- 10 planes (2 A330 and 8 short haul)
- 22 destinations

They also said they want to grow again after this crisis and want a long haul fleet of 12 planes in 2024. The A321LR is mentioned for this.

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2020

If SN survives, wouldn't there be possibilities to take market share from KL and AF at their overseas territories? On some flights both airlines have a near monopoly, so prices must be pretty high. With BRU being idealy located in between AMS and CDG it might present some opportunities. Part of the...

Re: Brussels Airport (BRU) infrastructure: future

Question: is BRU (BAC) using this passenger-free period to do some extra maintenance/renovation works at the airport? I've read Schiphol was speeding up its renewal of several infrastructures. I'm thinking of the renewal of the horrible bus-station, drop off, reclaim area,... Is BRU doing something,...
