Re: Brussels region noise regulation

Just to put everything in perspective 9% of the workers are coming from Wallonia 14% from Brussels 77% from Flanders for me you can divide the hassle in the same proportion and the problem will be resolved! Anyway that was always my feeling it's not our national airport it's the Flanders Internatio...

Re: Air Antwerp, a new airline from Deurne ?

From the article:
De vergunning is er nog niet en op korte termijn zal volgens mij ook moeten geïnvesteerd worden in andere vliegtuigen dan de Fokker 50.
A220 maybe ?

Re: Air Antwerp, a new airline from Deurne ?

The fact that KLM is involved is very reassuring I must say. In any case a lot better than all those dodgy investors in the previous VLM projects.

Too bad they didn't choose the name VLM but I guess after all the failures in recents years the name is (sadly) 'contaminated'.

Re: Brussels Airport (BRU) infrastructure: future

When I arrived at BRU a few weeks ago I realised that the current terminal does no longer meet international standards. Especially the entire arrival hall (baggage reclaim area + public arrival area) is WAY too small: - low ceiling gives it a dated and almost claustrophobic look - I saw lost baggage...

Re: Belgian Air Force news

^^ That looks like a lot more than just a hangar. It looks like a complete terminal with offices, etc. I presume this will be used as a terminal for the VIP flights, etc... also?

Too bad they don't demolish the old hangars....

Re: Air Belgium in 2019

I'm afraid the whole business plan of Air Belgium has turned out to be a failure. They want to be a low-cost airline in a situation where Belgium is already invaded by numerous low-cost airlines, and with our "national carrier" being transformed into a low-cost also... Secondly, they chose to fly lo...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2019

LH is determined to kill Brussels Airlines. Not again PLEASE! LH saved Brussels Airlines from bankruptcy at a time when nobody wanted to invest in SN. The name may , probably will, disappear but employment will remain. What’s in a name anyhow? Just realise this: what will be the end result of this ...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2019

Still don't understand why SN keeps spending money on painting their aircrafts knowing the fact that the brand will disappear. Such a pity to see that Belgium will have no more "Belgian-branded" airline... That won’t happen for a while as we already have Air Belgium. It is a downward spiral however...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2019

I hope LH realises they have nothing to gain by scrapping the name Brussels Airlines, but I fear the worst. I know from people working at the airport that the e-mails coming from staff in the b-house now have a 'Eurowings' signature (the text that appears under each e-mail), there is no more sign of...

Re: Airbus A350 XWB news

^^ Good example for Belgium. We should buy 1 long range jet for all military and VIP transportation, in stead of hiring all-white A330's from a Portuguese private company. It's embarrassing. Belgium will get an A330MRTT. But will this plane have a 'Belgian' livery (it will be owned by NATO if I rem...

Re: Brussels Airport (BRU) infrastructure: future

At the same time, with the new Terminal (or the Terminal of the Future) you can give them even an own check in and fast connection to the concourse. The new part of the terminal for OW with direct access to the A-Concourse and the "old part" of the terminal to Star with direct access to the B-conco...
