Selling some aviation books of mine

Hi everyone! Needing to gain some space in my apartment, I decided to sell some of my books. They are all in good state, at very good price (25% to 40% of the original price) and most of them are not published anymore... So don't hesitate to give these books a new life in your library :) ! PM if you...

Belgian Air Force tankers?

According to La Libre and De Tijd , the Defence would like to get 3 tankers (Airbus MRTT, 1 in 2025, the others in 2030), as well as equipping the A400M to be able to refuel. Total estimated cost: 1 billion €. What are your thoughts? I don't know on the principle itself of getting tankers... why wou...

Very nice video report, wonderful view on the Alps!

Just curious on how you managed to get such a stable image when filming through the window!

Re: A350 FINNAIR -Who's going ???

same feeling as mad_fab... not flying so frequently, so no miles, so no cheap fare, so no A350 flight this year :) Oh well, the A350 will be around for several years, so I am not worried ;-) Enjoy your flights, hope that many luchtzakkers will take this opportunity... and share their experience in t...

Re: Germanwings A320 crash in France

Just listened / watched the press conference. In a nutsheel, main points of what is confirmed: - it was the f/o that was flying the plane, and the captain that went out of the cockpit - the Flight Monitoring System was put to "descent" - the door was kept locked - the f/o was breathing unt...

Re: Germanwings A320 crash in France

Terrible news. I was working in Berlin Today and all my German colleagues are very, very schocked. I am currently in Tegel, waiting from my flight to BRU, and noticed that a huge number of Germanwings flights are now cancelled. Lots of stranded passengers around here. My condoleances to all people i...

Thank you Quixoticguide! Now I'll have to choose wisely which flight to take, as I can only afford a couple of flights this year :-)

Thanks Stij and Everett for your replies! If I remember correctly for my LAN flights, I needed a passport for both legs (CDG-MAD and MAD-CDG).

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal

We should start a poll on this ;-)

A sort of "Sabena" retro-livery? I know, Brussels Airlines is not a 100% child of Sabena, but I am just thinking out of the box ;-)

Question about Garuda flight AMS-LGW / SQ MUC-MAN

Hi everybody! I'm tempted to fly AMS-LGW with Garuda's 777 this year. However, I have a question regarding documents to take with me: is the Belgian ID card enough (after all it's only an intra-european flight) or should I have a full passport? When I did CDG-MAD with LAN some years ago, I had to br...

Re: Looking back at 2014

Well, for me 2014 was a quiet year... flights wise! Only two sector, but everything was a first:
- first time in Orly and Ajaccio
- first time in a 747 (and on the upper deck :-) )
- first time with Corsair

Now, I hope to fly a bit more in 2015!

Re: Car parking in Brussels airport (Zaventem)

They should learn from aviation: a simple codeshare will do! ;-) Well, in Belgium, why make it simple when we can make it complicated? They can do the same as fort the 39 and 44  Indeed, I forgot that "exception". Maybe because the areas served by the 39 and 44 outside of Brus...

Re: Car parking in Brussels airport (Zaventem)

I'm not sure that they will extend the subway (metro) in that direction any time soon. However, it seems that there are talks to have a tramway between the City and the Airport. Currently, the line 62 (connecting to Gare du Nord in Brussels) has since April of this year its terminus at Eurocontrol i...
