Re: new KB for grondhandling services.
As a home based carrier, YES Yes I know, but I actually ment, is there a big chance that SN will start it's own handling? no, pushback and deicing trucks, gpu's, apu's, ... its all expensive material. SN doesn't have the money for it currently 1 noselifter that can lift an A333 costs around 1milion...

MR_Boeing wrote:A 3th handler in Brussels is still quite some time away. But SN can do their own handling anytime they want. So with SN doing more and more things themself (like maintenance), may they start their own handling also (maybe with the help of LH?)?

Re: new KB for grondhandling services.
Home based carriers always can start doing selfhandling. They only need to find/train people, buy all the material and find place to park it. Make the cost-benefit calculation and if the benefit is bigger than the cost (like check-in????) they can start.

Re: new KB for grondhandling services.
'De Tijd' calculated that in 2024/25 a third handler will be allowed if traffic will increase the coming years similar to the increase of the second part of 2010. Transit loads are not included in those figures.

Re: Flights cancelled due to volcanic ash cloud from Iceland
Everybody is talking about KLM and their pressure on almost all authorities. One question, why did they suspend all flights untill tomorrow even Dutch airspace is only closed untill 1400LT today? Because all tests went well? Please be realistic. They performed a test flight above FL410, way above th...

Re: Flights cancelled due to volcanic ash cloud from Iceland
know that all airlines are working very hard to find a solution for all stranded passengers. It is rather difficult to find a solution for all of them as they don't know when airspaces will be open again. It seems no improvement can be expected before 20/04/2010. BRU airport will remain closed alrea...
