it's the current H/AGT from QR, not too difficult to find out; their headoffice is located in a country with a red flag and a white cross..... you should know this SN26567, same people / country that helped bring our beloved Sabena down.... Before moving operations elsewhere (a costly option), QR c...

http://aircargoworld.com/qatar-adds-four-americas-destinations-with-twice-weekly-777f-flights/ The first flight of qatar cargo to their new destination in south america left from LGG. It looks like LUX and LGG are potentially sharing everything. Edit : it seems to be due to a parking limitation in ...

Re: Terror attacks: explosions in the departure hall of Brussels Airport!
@ Inquirer... I've just come home from assignment to EBLG this morning, handling 6 departing flights....when I arrived at EBLG this morning around 05:30hr the parking was nearly empty, by the time I left at 12 hr it was already 75% full... and this is basically the first (full) day of operations out...

Re: Abnormalities in BRU-ANR-CRL-LGG-OST in 2015
On 3 of the diverted planes the passengers were deplaned in BRU, taken to terminal and bussed to CRL. The aircraft returned empty to CRL later during the night. On 2 of the diverted planes passengers were left on board, aircraft were refueled and taken asap back to CRL. This was an operational / com...

@ Atlantis..... Terminal 2, T2, will come on the place where you have now the huge and totally empty DHL Building 2. This is the one next to the Diamant. If I'm not mistaken that building is presently being used by Swissport, and therefor not empty..... If your statement is correct, they will have t...

Re: Ryanair in 2015
@sean1982 thanks for this update, however one question pops up to me.... why take a -700 as back up for -800 fleet? I can guarantee you that, should a -800 go AOG in BRU e.g., we would very often not be able to accommodate all pax on this relief flight given the average loadfactor on the BRU flights...

Re: Did Brussels Airlines hire 20 Lufthansa student pilots?
@boeing767copilot : thanks for the link, redirecting this thread back on tracks.... So if I understand it correctly, these German pilots are already type-rated on A320, reason why they have been chosen.... Next question.....how long does it take to train a 'Belgian' pilot fresh from school (BAFA, CA...

Re: Brussels Airlines hired 20 Lufthansa student pilots?
'Flightlover' might have a point, but that's why I asked the question, to get some clarification....
Why would they take 'Belgian' student pilots from a foreign flight school when there are, as sean1982 mentioned, so many graduates from Belgian schools waiting to get a job?
Puzzles me a bit.....

Did Brussels Airlines hire 20 Lufthansa student pilots?
Rumour control has it that Brussels Airlines just hired 20 ab-initio student pilots from Lufthansa flight academy, without type-rating. What about the dozens of Belgian student pilots waiting to get a job? What about the money Brussels is receiving from our Belgian government? Being used to hire for...

Re: Day trip from Brussels to Barcelona with Ryanair
@ sn26567
the reason you had to take a bus (even for only 200m) was simply because at the time of your arrival we had "low visibility" procedures in place at EBBR.
During low vis procedures no passengers are allowed on the tarmac, and bussing is required.
