Re: Sabena Technics: 371 jobs at risk

I really want to give my full support to the employees of Sabena Technics. Their know-how and multiple skill are part of a certain Belgian "savoir-faire". I've read multiple reports about Qantas having regrets to have outsourced the C & D checks and heavy overhauls in the Far-East (Lu...

Re: Sabena Technics: 371 jobs at risk

Did they plan to rebuild the hangar lost to fire? You must be kidding... It was the intention to rebuild the hangar, but Brussels Airport wanted TAT to share in the costs. Re: 3 Jan 2009 : 3 flights to BRU have been diverted

The leg bru, paris. Is the acceptance flight for etops Just out of interest (and off topic) How does this work? Because as far as I know Paris is rather close to BRU, so how can it be an acceptance flight for ETOPS? Should the acceptance flight be longer? Like 90/120/180 minutes? Or is this not imp...

Re: 3 Jan 2009 : 3 flights to BRU have been diverted

The CargoB flight this morning got diverted to AMS. A last minute dicision due to the fog as I was told. On previous situations, the CBB "diverted" to AMS as it was running late ( ). As such, the flowers made the market in time. Not this time. It was due to fog. The crew wasn't cat3...

Re: SN247/1247 on 07 Nov 2008 : BRU-BRU-Abidjan ?

(if fuel had to be dumped : the fishermen from the North Sea don't want it anymore, they suggest to dump it above some nimbies in Noordrand or Kraainem next time) The BruAir A330's don't have a fueldump-system. Not sure if there are much 330's around with such a system ... Greetz, Andries...
