Re: question about flights to San Francisco via Chicago
Is luggage not checked in to your final destination? I did already many intercontinental flights via LHR f.e. but luggage was check in at BRU to the final destination even with one or two stops between. Hello Atlantis, they will check your bag till SFO, but nevertheless you need to clear customs at...

Re: Air France sentenced to a $85,000 fine in the U.S.
... I think that Brussels Airlines could be in the same situation. In their website they make no clear distinction between the different taxes and surcharges that the customer has to pay. Really? I noticed they talk about 'airport taxes' and 'airline fees' on their website when you book. Clear enou...

Brussels Airport in USA drama series
Nothing too exciting, but still. So many airports in the world, but they used 'something famous' of Brussels Airport in the opening of 'Touch', a series with Kiefer Sutherland. Pause at second 8

Re: brussels airlines to New York!
I guess it has something to do with the fact they took over the flights to Cameroon from Swiss. They need the new cabin in order to give Swiss passengers a similar product. Anyway, good luck to SN with their JFK flight. I will certain consider taking them if I need to be there, but I prefer to avoid...

Re: Brussels Airlines new service in bflex - doritos ?
Had a SN-flight LHR-BRU three weeks ago at 19h15 (scheduled at 17h50 but delayed due weather). Seems like a decent hour to get something to eat (even on a short flight), I received a waffle... not even a sandwich... I don't expect a three course meal, but this is unacceptable. Like you say, your re...

for those interested, I use 'boingo mobile' (google it for more info). Many airport (BRU included) and other hot spots available for a reasonable amount per month and you can use a smartphone and tablet on the same account. No time or date limit...

Re: brussels airlines to New York!
The new C class product is below the big expectations and so is the new economy product. I don't see much of anything revolutionary, just the CEO doing his job. Well, to be honest, I don't know what you had in mind, but I find these pictures promising... I flew quite some times accross the pond wit...

U-turn?
Dear fellow enthousiasts :-) Around noon, I saw some contrails (I think  ) in the air. It seems like an aircraft made a U-turn (did the pilot realized he forgot something and turned around to get it? :D ). The picture has been taken in Haacht using my cell phone. And to give an idea of the loc...

Brussels Airlines first A330-200
Just saw on airliners.net pictures of the first A330-200 in Brussels Airlines colours. They say it will become OO-SFY. Are they just following the alphabet or just being funny by making OO-SFY(ankee) their aircraft that will fly to the USA :) http://cdn-www.airliners.net/aviation-photos/middle/6/3/4...

Re: African operations possible with narrow body equipment
Several months ago, I was the only one of the very few in favor of some SN African destinations being operated with an A319 or A320. I got rebuffed by a couple of members on this forum and since I could not agree with several aspects of NCB's plans, I decided to shut up (however, not convinced that...

Re: Priority lane against payment at Charleroi Airport
I have seen the same at BRS airport where it costs 3,95£ http://www.bristolairport.co.uk/at-the-airport/fast-track-security.aspx What bothers me (based on what i saw in BRS) is the fact that you cannot really see if there is a long queue in the 'regular' line or not... I was lucky to have fast-lane ...

Re: Looking back at 2010
My 'highlight' this year was BRU-IAD (UA951) in United's new First Class Cabin, brand new seats (boring grey, great space/comfort, nice food). Worst experience of 2010 was my trip to ACC on AZ (via LOS), big delay, zero communication, very unfriendly crew (had the same crew again 2 days later, still...

Re: Brussels Airlines cancels flights to Abidjan until 6 Dec
I see... due to the curfew nobody is able to make it to the airport at night.
AF just has the advantage they can adapt their schedule... SN isn't that flexible with their small longhaul fleet.
