Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal

Luchtzak, this is very disappointing! You also show bias towards SN! If 9W inside information is shared then that's fine and mods will happily join the discussion. If SN inside information is shared it's removed... Why the difference, I thought Luchzak is neutral :?: Cause SN's social media team an...

Re: ebola - cleaning of planes coming from West-Africa ?

The virus stays 'alive' for only a very short time outside its host. So as soon as an infected passenger has sneezed, the virus in his sneeze will only stay active for a few minutes. No risk for cleaning staff. However if I were them, I'd wear gloves, just to be able to work while feeling at ease.

Re: Replacement of Brussels Airlines' Boeing & Avro RJ fleet

40.000 pax per year carried between African cities... yes that will make a case for such an operation... How much revenue does that add? 100 euro's a piece, 4 million a year sounds about it. The secto.rs aren't that long. Most pax pay more for their CKY-DKR / DKR-CKY / FNA-ROB / COO-ABJ /ABJ-LFW / ...

Re: Brussels airlines future and financial perspective

FWIW, just do like I do, whenever I can, I don't fly LH/LX/OS/4U. I don't care having lost my Miles&More Senator status. Im' now at FTL/Silver level. I enjoy "Flying Blue Silver status" which offers much better privileges for Silver members, btw. For me it's a question of principle. Y...

True, that is why a turboprop or an ERJ145 is too small for flights to/from BMA... You just can't take all the pax and luggage as these flights are almost always full.

Re: Brussels Airlines' second US destination

As many others I decided to stop posting in this forum, but now some false info is posted so I want to set some things straight: I know from a reliable source btw that SN was offered by LH to operate a daily ACC flight ... Lufthansa will only fly 4 weekly 30MAR-18JUN and 5 weekly as from 19JUN, so I...

Re: Which A330 next for Brussels Airlines?

SN technicians went to Sao Paolo to check on a next A330, but management/board took too much time when they were back to make a decision. Those aircrafts are sold by now...

The next A330 will be decided on the board meeting of begin December

Maybe they should come and have a look at my roster .... That should stop the complaints ;) Having 20+ hours of overtime each month, 14, 15, 16 nights away from base, switch from early sign in to late sign in,... There is a list with a/c that are earmarked to be added to the fleet. OO-SFQ is very high on it due to commonality with a/c already in the fleet.
