Re: BRU Summer 2019: news, new routes, airlines

Welcome to Aviation24.be, bristol411. I guess that BRU-BRS with small planes is more expensive to operate (per passenger) than BRU-LHR with A320 aircraft. Since SN has no longer AR8 aircraft, who is the operator? The SN website shows AR8 equipment and they are the operator. In the past SN, FlyBe and...

Re: Jet Airways' financial situation, can they be saved ?

Only 5 active aircraft... Their debts have become that high (+1,2 Billion USD), that even the most optimistic businessplan can't rescue them. Thus: game over. Indeed, but how could they let this airline fly? That's unbelievable! It is 20:53UTC, and Jet Airways still flying with 5 aircraft, a few da...

Re: Social actions at air traffic control service skeyes (Belgium) - possible air traffic disruptions

Brussels Airport announced via social media that their flights between 23:30 and 08:00 are impacted (while restriction is between 00:00 and 06:00). I am always surprised that doctors are entering this type of game. It will be said that society is evolving ... I have not left BRU for some time ... b...

SAS launches a new route between Brussels and Tromso, in the upper North of Norway, in January 2020. https://www.aviation24.be/airlines/sas/sas-launches-winter-route-between-brussels-and-tromso-in-northern-norway-in-january-2020/ Next step, Longyearbyen ? Why not ! Maybe Bergen or Stavanger first !...

Within a few years JetBlue might start flying to Brussels (Article in Dutch). https://www.tijd.be/ondernemen/luchtvaart/jetblue-wikt-trans-atlantische-vlucht-naar-zaventem/10116311.html Let's hope they'll go ahead and not with yet another NYC-BRU rotation. BOS-BRU might be a nice addition. BOS...LH...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2019

Jacques Brel maybe.... 90 years of his birth, why not... Hummm could be a good idea... I don't think it's a good idea for an airline to upset a lot of their clients in the north. After all, Brel is the singer from "...Messieurs les Flamingants, Je vous emmerde...." As Passenger points out, he has, ...

Re: BRU Summer 2019: news, new routes, airlines

The premium passengers has to fly via other airports. Well, I do think there are enough premium passengers to guarantee certain routes (BRU --> EU Capitals) So those people won't really have to take 2h trains each time. And there you can of course connect as well (SAS, Finnair, Aer Lingus) But in g...

Maybe giving Asiana the final push towards a direct ICN-BRU?

What will happen to the crew? Will the uniform change? Will the crew only work shorthaul or only long haul? There’s now something like mixed crew, will this not exist anymore? I’m kind of scared tbh.. A matter of taste but as far as I'm concerned the Eurowings crew uniform is the most vulgar and ug...
