Re: Brussels Airlines in 2019

Whatever the name or the livery projects, SN/EW is still the home carrier employing locals here and abroad, and transporting passengers to and via BRU. So personnally, no reason to avoid SN.

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2019

Like some people say here, that from now on they will only fly with AF, KLM, BA etc, I think is simply ridiculous. If you still want to be a little patriotic. Then support at least the people who work here in Belgium. Otherwise have fun on your 1-stop hopping trough Europe... Greetings Chris...

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal

Dear mates, OK you got it : LH did not kill SN... I did not use the right words, driven by emotion. But the facts are : LH erases SN belgian identity and does not invest in the belgian carrier devlpt. Thus, the future of BRU as a hub does not look good! Dear member, For sure LH can't forbid BRU and...

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal

Not at all... they have killed the belgian flag carrier ! At the contrary (and for the zillionth time): Lufthansa has saved Brussels Airlines ten years ago, when the Belgians didn't want to invest in their flag airline / national carrier / whatever you want to call it. Without the support from Luft...

Why don't they do one of their airbus A330? Would be nice
One assumption, already read on this forum, could be visibility : most of their A330 are flying and are on the airfields essentially at night, at the opposite of the A319/A320 family.

Re: Ethiopian Airlines Boeing 737 MAX crashes between Addis Ababa and Nairobi

I took ET six times last november. Great airline. Bad destiny for the casualties. So many different nationalities on this important airlink between both eastern african capital cities. Waiting for more investigations results about what caused the dramatic crash of such a brand new manufactory Boeing...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2019

How come airlines like Ethiopian and Turkish can build fantastic fleets or brand new airplanes that fly all over the world and the airline of the center of Europe can only fly old planes to a some places... I don't get it! Support by government, employee cost,... to keep prices low and make a nice ...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2019

On another aviation discussion thread about Austrian aviation news, the future of ''Austrian'' is regularely at issue. Name change too. I read by example a mention to ''Eurowings Austrian''. And that it will not be easy to skip ''Austrian'' name because the airline is very respected in that country....

Two A332 are remaining in the fleet: OO-SFT : entry 19/03/2012 from LX. OO-SFZ : entry 31/07/2017 from WK. Source www.airfleets.net Maybe there will be some ''new'' aircrafts orders from 2020? The only question is if OO-SFB will come back from EW-wetlease? Isn't OO-SFB supposed to come back for SN f...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2018

Beside their market in Entebbe, Kigali and Bujumbura, another battle to win for SN should be to come back to Nairobi ASAP (2019-2020 ?). If the LH group makes the decision. Not that obvious... After a long absence, LH (autumn 2015 after 16 years) and ... AF (spring 2018 after 18 years) are back in N...

Léon Verhallen gave an interview with Luchtvaartnieuws Magazine. Further more on the wish list. Another inte...
