Re: BRU 29/10/08

Hi, Just saw on the Brussels Airport website that JAF208 has a huge delay of about 16hours. Wasn't is supposed to land already this morning? Any idea of what's going on? I suppose OO-TUC is doing that flight. The flight crew had to take their compulsory rest before flying back. that's the reason.

arke fly

Normally the A-checks were done by KLM, but they had no space and time to do the check... That's why he's at Sabena Technics. Sabena Technics has also a contract with Arke Fly

jet airways

I don't think it's because the Belgium delegation was in India, that Jet Airways will fly Belgium.
At Sabena Technics, they know it already since beginning of octobre that they will come... Because Sabena Technics will do the line maintenance.

hello

I can tell, it was not a birdstrike...
there was nothing seen external at the engine, it was internal, but you can not see that like that, they can see with special tooling...

maybe something was broken in the combustor.

condens

No, the 5 to 10 liters it's the condens. In the air the fuel is -10 or more degrees. when the airplane is on ground, temperature in Kgali about 30 degrees, that causes the condens. It's complete normal, when I'm checking planes here, I walk under the wing in dry weather conditions (no snow, no rain)...

no technical problem

I can confirm that it wast just political question, there was no technical fault. They were trying to find technical faults to hold the aircraft on ground at kigali. When an airplane is standing some days on ground with full fuel tanks, it's normal that there is a very small leak. When the engines a...

tub

When he came he had to do some incomming checks. That would say that there are a lot of tests and inspections to do. So they have to resolved all technical problems before he can fly.
