Re: Breaking news: founder of easyJet starts FastJet

If you have a closer look at the airplane on their website, it seems that the aircraft is registered in Ghana. Maybe the new airline has its base at Accra airport?

I wish them the best of luck :-)!

Making a stopover at Madrid. Any tips?

Hello everybody, My parents are considering booking a flight from Düsseldorf to Arrecife via Madrid as a part of a holiday package offered by a German tour operator. Flights are apparently operated by Iberia. Has anybody had the opportunity to fly the Spanish national carrier? What was it like? Has ...

Re: Air Berlin Turkey

Hello Hakan, I have read in the latest "Airliner World" issue that IzAir is going to be rebranded as Air Berlin Turkey and that its headquarters are going to be moved to Antalya. The article seems accurate and the magazine has a good reputation. Its reports are nearly always reliable. I wi...

Re: LIS-ATH-LCA-*ECN*-SAW-AMS-BOR-LIS/FNC with TP/A3/PC/HV/K

Indeed, a well-written trip report with many excellent photographs :)! The plane with the red tail standing next to the airbus A319 operated by Easyjet is a Boeing 737-800 operatig for the Egyptian carrier Midwest Airlines. The company isn't seen regularly in Western Europe. I think you can compary ...

BBC's Airport

Hello everybody, I am a very big fan of the BBC series "Airport" that also has been broadcast by VRT/Eén sometime during the late nineties. Apparently, I have lost all my videotapes about that program, but I would still like to review some episodes. Does anybody know where I can find some ...

Re: CSA to resume Colombo

Czechoslovakian :D! On January, the first 1993 Czechoslovakia became Slovakia and the Czech Republic. I am wondering if the article means that a carrier is starting to serve Colombo from Bratislava (Air Slovakia served India using its Boeing 757, if I remeber correctly) or Prague (seems to be logic ...

Re: Qatar Airways to launch Tbilisi

Great to see Qatar Airways opening nexw routes, but does anybody know if there is sufficient demand for flights from Qatar to Georgia? I think I might quite a smart move for a gulf carrier to start flights to Belgrade soon, as JAT served Australia, the US, Canada and Thailand during its glory days. ...

Dear BeOnTop, First of all, I don't quite understand your last comment about what I wrote earlier today. I think you either misread my comment or just don't get the question. I have never talked about landing a Boeing 737-800 or an Airbus passenger jet on a short runway... You are right about Luxair...

Re: airberlin´s inaugural flight from Berlin to Dubai

Great to see AB expanding their network. The new destination seems to be doing all right from the inaugural flight :).

Does anybody know why the return flight made a stopover at Antalya? I am sure that on the AYT arrivalspage an Air Berlin flight from DXB was mentioned.
