Re: Flights cancelled due to volcanic ash cloud from Iceland

I had to return Thursday evening from Luxor with Arkefly 767 OR494 to Schiphol. Luckily, our plane (AHQ) departed just before the closure from Amsterdam to Luxor, where it landed around 8 p.m. Arkefly opted for a diversion to the Basel Mulhouse Airport, which was still open till friday evening. We t...

MP creates hub in Miami

A319, it's certainly true because you can conclude the same things when you check their winter schedule on www.martinair.nl. They also say that you've to change to another aircraft for the flight to SJO. It's indeed nice to see that they are expanding, but MP made altough a loss of 6 million € in th...

Here is the flight report, pictures will be soon available. After having slept in the IBIS hotel in Badhoevedorp – you have there a fantastic view on the airport – we could go to San José (Costa Rica) via Miami with Martinair Holland, the flightnumber was MP645. TAlking about the A319 of SN: I was surprised when I saw the inside of the A319 on the opendoor. The floor in the aisle wasn't looking very nice anymore. It should be replaced
You can see that very clear on this picture:

HLN

I have flown with Air Holland a few years ago to Goa. The 757 was old and dirty, but now they fly ex-SAS aircrafts (767-300ER)with more comfort. The big problem with HLN is delays (sometimes 6 hours and more...).

I've just one question: Which airline is the yellow Tristar belonging to ?

I really have no idea what airline it is, it wasn't visible and I couldn't see the reg. Anyhow, that aircraft looks very old and dirty.

Avro

I prefer the A319, but the RJ100 is also a good and silent plane with comfortable leather seats.
