A 380, does that mean you are not leaving from BRU, to avoid making noise overhead your own house? 😈
Departing from Brussels but transiting because price wise and we have 5 kids so it counts.... ;)

Re: Boeing 737 (MAX) news

Vueling may move away from an all-Airbus fleet and migrate to the B737 MAX, according to Willie Walsh, CEO of parent IAG. Did Walsh lose some bolts and become nuts? How will his customers react? They're probably cheap to buy now, and will be delivered long after the MAX has proved itself safe :geek...

Re: Brucargo 2019: cargo routes & news

A source states that Atlas Air will no longer operate to BRU. Their last flight would have been on May 14. Ethiopian Cargo is mentioned to take over the traffic. It's sad to lose another 747 operator, after also Saudia completely disappeared from BRU earlier this year. Did Saudia leave Brussels com...

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal

Indeed do not underestimate the cargo revenue. It's very valuable for SN. The newer A330 with increased max-weight helps a lot for this purpose, they don't have to make choices anymore or limit the cargo capacity. The A321LR is a pure niche airplane. Well suited for Aer Lingus for instance. But for...

Re: Brussels region noise regulation

You seem to be adamant on closing the airport, at least at night, without offering any real alternatives. Like I said, during nighttime SIDs are adjusted, Line-up positions are adjusted, the number of taxiing aircraft is restricted,... all to provide better living conditions for the neighbours of t...

Re: Brussels region noise regulation

But please close this airport at night it's not a good location LGG has a better location for example. Ask the Thousands of people living in the are Riemst-Tongeren if LGG is such a good location when a US-bound fully loaded 747-F takes off from LGG 04 in the middle of the night. It will never be p...

Re: Alitalia near bankruptcy. Can it be saved?

Just like Sabena, Alitalia is a loss making company. Governments supporting this kind of business falsify competion towards non-funded airlines. Unfair competition: the European Union calls it "illegal state aid". ALITALIA is to important for Italy, tourism is the first income of Italy and ALITALIA ...

Nobody wants to see a legacy airline go bust, but we Belgians compare with Sabena. In 2000-2001, the Belgian government didn't hesitate to put the airline down. Where at Alitalia, they do everything possible to keep the airline afloat.
Exactly...

Any reason?
Strange because Emirates already cancelled one daily flight this month...
Due to capacity restrictions at DXB -> ongoing runway works
I now but it means less seats to the region and a direct competitor...

But logical because the two airports are underused and this will strengthen the numbers of Oostende Airport.
