Re: Airbus A350 XWB news

Lessor Avolon (Ireland) has dropped four A350-900s from its total order of 14, while adding 10 more A330-900s to reach 37. Is the A330neo better from an economic point of view than the A350? It depends. The trip cost of an A330neo is lower than for an A350, so when the demand isn't there to fill up...

Re: Inverted name/surname on booking

Hey. With Brussels Airlines you can change it in the first 24h without problem maybe it's like that with other airlines? But anyway it's always better to call them to see if you have to change something. Last time it happens to me it was no problem at all the only problem was that they could not lin...

Re: Transavia to fly from BRU with 2 Boeing 737s in Summer 2020

Verona is new and Faro is underserved in my opinion... Tel Aviv can use some competition. - Verona was served by Ryanair in the past. The fact that they abandoned should tell something! - Tel Aviv already served by El Al, SN, TUI and Ryanair (the latter from CRL) But anyway it's good news to have m...

Re: Trivia 2019 (miscellaneous news)

Luanda (SAA) has a daily flight but using a A320 in the past they used the A300 and the 747-400. But it seems to me that South Africa has a very bad geographical position they can not be used has a hub from the EU or the US in that optic they lose a lot of passengers. For RAM it's all the contrary t...

Re: Alitalia near bankruptcy. Can it be saved?

The Italian taxpayer is rich but not indefinitely That touches on politics, sadly but unavoidably. In Italy like in certain other countries, there is a marked separation between richer areas, that bring in the majority of tax money (and, hence, have their own ideas about how and where tax money sho...

Re: Trivia 2019 (miscellaneous news)

Air Sénégal ordered 8 A220-300's during the Dubai 1ir Show. It seems that for so far, Airbus is the big winner of the DAS, with 120 A320NF for Air Arabia and 50 A350 for Emirates and some other smaller orders. Looks like it, indeed! The A220 seems to be really good compared to the E2. Although one ...

Looks like it, indeed! The A220 seems to be really good compared to the E2. Although one airline in Belgium thinks the E2 is a better product, but I fail to see why honestly... any specialist in the E2/A220 battle around here? :) Sorry lumumba, my question was more about performance, specifications...

Re: BRU Summer 2020: news, new routes, airlines

Do we really need all of this, knowing it knocks away the critical mass to support big and healty home based airlines with route networks beyond just the obvious routes to Malaga, Barcelona, Rome etc? Healthy home based airline? Did you miss reboot? As for Transavia, I wouldn’t underestimate them, ...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2019

Knack has it right: Despite its shamefully high unemployment rates, the Brussels Region prefers (night) rest for its population over an expanding Zaventem. Charleroi cannot follow intercontinental for the time being. Few transfer passengers opt for an airport that does not offer European connection...
