Re: "Landing at Brussels Airport will become more dangerous"

All technical discussions aside, I find it a bit worrying that some people are very at ease throwing "best aviation practices" out of the window so fast. I mean, after all, why worry about where the wind comes from! It's just 2 more knots!

Yes, I indeed see your point concerning the name, the MRJ does tend towards "Emergency".... IF YOU PRONOUNCE IT LIKE A RETARD!!!!!!

Since most of us aren't, your point is invalid. Sorry

Re: 700 jobs threatened at Brussels Airlines?

Altruism is what it takes to help other people before yourself when hell breaks loose and it's definitely not a quality that improves with age. Young people have better skills to adapt to a new, bad situation/environment, while older people tend to freeze, waste time finding a similar event in the ...

Re: PPL courses - Where to go ? BFS or ... ?

One of my friends was an instructor there and he doesn't recommend it. Not because of the quality, but because there is no follow up of the student's progress. You will sort of be left alone to wonder around with no follow up, as long as you keep paying of course. They consider students more like ca...

Re: Flights cancelled due to volcanic ash cloud from Iceland

The way Brussels Airlines is dealing with this problem shows once again their inability to handle customers properly. I received a SMS telling me that the flight was cancelled - no answer from their call center, no help at all. Had to rent a car to get BRU...once I got here, the desk of Brussels Ai...

Apparently, the first flight could be seen here. I don't know if it will be live or delayed. Anyways there are some other videos concerning the A400M.

By financial investment, do you mean that total assets or net worth? FYI, Financial investment represents neither. Financial investments (FI) (Placements de trésorerie, Geldbeleggingen) comprise two sub sections in the Annual report (Bilan, Balans na winstverdeling). The first is "Other invest...

SN247 has finally left BRU. The pilot told the PAX there was a sensor problem. Apparently they had to place jacks under the aircraft, so your guess is as good as mine, sensor problem with the bogey, wheels, brakes...

And then people keep coming saying B.air has a serious problem with its pilots, its staff. Well it doesn't seem like B.air is the only airline having problems with its crews, so stop slapping B.air all the time! And stop writing about B. Air in every single topic. This is about Air France, so why a...

Its true that opening a new line to the US puts you in a very competitive market. But I think a flight to KBOS and/or KJFK would be profitable, Just one or two lines will do. Btw has anyone any idea what effects the Opensky agreement will have on BRU?

About long-haul, 4 or 5, 6 A330's are not sufficient. Make it a 10 at least and the airline will be set for the next decades. There are also some destinations that still have great possibilities: Beyrut, Casablanca, Jerusalem, Tel-Aviv. Its nice to see someone with ambition. 10 planes might be a bi...

Delta Air Lines to fly to NBO via DKR as of Summer 2008

Delta Air Lines is planning on flying to NBO via DKR as of summer 2008. This is part of their route expansion. Bad news for B.air in NBO. http://news.moneycentral.msn.com/provider/providerarticle.aspx?feed=PZ&date=20070926&id=7533329 http://www.primenewswire.com/newsroom/news.html?d=127425

And that is the reason why BRU could help BA as LHR is a total disaster now...they could launch a kind of 'Continental terminal',with frequent shuttle LON/BRU...and bru would become a terminal 6 kind of ,for BA... LH,AF/KL don't need BRU they have very good airport in their portfolio:cdg,ams,muc,fr...
