Re: Jet Airways: good figures for Brussels Airport

If anyone has more informations about 9W's new A330 config, I'm willing to take them. I'm intrigued. Fitting a new version on such new birds must be quite costly. On the other hand, VS has taken Contour (seat manufacturer) to court because they sold "upper class" style seats to 9W, NZ, DL ...

Re: BRU 28/10/2009

Could this be related to the F1 grand prix that'll be held this week-end in Abu Dhabi ?
It was parked on A1 taxiway, weird.

Re: BRU summer 2009: latest news, routes, airlines

Seems like AA upgradres ORD-BRU-ORD to the 777 ! Effective from 1st May 2009.
According to A.net forum, it won't be seasonal. ;)

That sounds like great news.

The route has been flown by a 767 since 1988, with some DC10 intervals in 1991-1992. 8-)

Can Atlantis confirm this ?

Re: BRU winter 2008-2009: latest news, routes, airlines

It is confirmed and loaded in the system that the JFK route by 9W will be upgraded to a B777. The same for BLR with 4 flights a week on days 1567. That's strange then, because I've read on some blogs that 9W has revised that decision and therefore keeps the A330 to KJFK. And 9W's website gives me a...

Re: BRU winter 2008-2009: latest news, routes, airlines

Just a few questions:

9W: MAA-BRU-JFK remains A332 ? (in that case three 77Ws will be grounded... if they don't serve DXB and JED from DEL and BOM). Is BLR confirmed ? 4x week ?

EY: What about the daily frequency ? With a bit of chance, we could see something else than EYD and EYE...

I'm sure that either ATQ, MAA, AMD or BLR will be the next selected Indian destinations. At the moment 9W is also very busy with 5th freedom rights for their India-PVG-SFO flight. This will probably be routed via a Southern province city (BLR/MAA ??). Kingfisher is also applying for BOM-SFO direct w...

Jet Airways: DEL-BRU-JFK is now official !

Hi. 9W's schedules for DEL-BRU-JFK are now loaded in GDS/CRS. As from oct 28th, with a daily B777-300ER. It's Jet's 3rd combination with BRU as a scissor hub. Schedules are pretty much the same as for BOM/EWR (25 minutes of difference). It'll be quite crowded in BRU !! Now let's wait for ORD/C...

 About 07L. Not the first time the last days. It was the case last monday as well. Also aroud 12.00pm. And also the sight of AT's 744 over the ring. This is very non-standard. The SIA Cargo 744 made a very very late final right turn for VOR/DME 07L. A bit of KaiTak in BRU :P :P :P What a sigh...

To give an answer to point 1: Dallas will be served by a B757. If plans are go ahead like now. But in aviation you never know. I know the 757 are trendy on some new US-Europe routes but there's no way a 757 can fly DFW-BRU non-stop. AA's 757 would com if BOS is ever opened. DFW is definitely a 767 ...

I would not play that game twice if I was a MET functionnary... Ryanair would NOT hesitate a second to leave CRL. It's written in the contract linking them and the Walloon Region. Once the A380 issue will be solved (meaning the A380 fully operational) it's always been widely known that EK will come to BRU.
By that time some A330 or A340 will be available to launch BRU.

Just a matter of patience IMO.
BRU is in EK's pipes.
