Topic: A stretch version of the A380? It's in the plans

I think it's part of the strategy.

Airbus itself wants to be sure the A380 becomes a success.
The A388 is the entry-model.
Let the airlines and airports settle with this bird, and the A389 will come and remove the B747 completely from the market... if the A388 can prove itself, that is...

Problem with jets though is that they only beat turboprops on segments longer than 500nm, because of more efficiency at higher cruise altitude, faster,... The higher speed isn't that interesting as it doesn't matter to VLM and its customers whether the trip lasts one hour or 45 minutes between ANR a...

VLM fleet replacement

We all know VLM loves its Fokkers but they are all approaching their 20 years of service.

What will VLM replace its Fokkers with?
Dash 8's or the renewed ATR's?

Why wouldn't they? If they have nearly 20 on order, they can also have one in a near full-economy, giving tickets at 70% the price on the same routes flown by another company on a B787, and easily bring the competition that went all-B787 down. SIA gave a clear message: If you want to beat me on the ...

I agree with member Itami, The US have controlled the Japanese economy for decades following the war. Boeing used this position to produce Japan-oriented aircraft while conducting large campaigns with the "JUMBO" and "Toripuru sebun" denominations. A good example is the B777, B78...

A new video shows that it was an intended but not under-control maneuver, as you can see him lowering the bank in a quick movement.

The closest distance was smaller was about the weidth of the engine cowling, not more than 3 meters.

What I find really stupid, surprising and unthinkable is that ANR doesn't have a railway station while it has the railway tracks in its backyard.

As Belgium's 2nd biggest city and with its lengthening runway, I think it is time to start...

The possibilities are various.

Also, the possibility to have Moscow as an alternate is great for airlines doing the trans-eurasian routes.

YOu know what I think guys? B.air is starting to get the first bills from the wet-leasing  The superb well-fare system is no use to pilots unless they loose their license. And pensions are very bad in this country... All the wellfare we are paying is going to other divisions and is just a big ...

No, it is not common and the crew will not practice this option unless they have reasons to believe they can save the passenger. A heart attack is fatal if unrecovered within 5 minutes. The brain starts to decompose, and even if the heart goes again, after 5 minutes, the brain will not be able to re...

ANA flirting with the A380

My recent suspicions are covered in the next article:

I was wrong on the B744 Domestics though, if any A380, they say it will be on high-load long-haul.

Hey nat, wrong vocabulary, a "forced landing" is when you land on a place without any other choice left, which means an unsuitable runway, a prairy, a lake, the ocean, the beach, the highway,... If the choice of the runway and airport is available, it is called a diversion to an alternate ...

Funny thoughts but they don't work :D Big enterprises can keep huge amounts of foreign currency in their local account numbers. I think EK will firm-up at Dubai together with the A350X. BA will firm-up next year at Farnborough and order the XWB at the same time.
