Re: Your organisations travel policy

For Rennes, I would personally never take a flight ...

But what for e.g. going to Vienna: flight or night train? What would you do. The train can also be quite expensive ...

Your organisations travel policy

Hi all, Recently my organisation changed policies regarding air travel which, in general, I support. As a general rule my employer wants to reduce the use of air travel (of course if you have meetings in China, you can't go on foot, or even are not able to take the train :D ). For short distances yo...

Impact of your organisation on BRU

Hi all, I am just wondering which organisations have a big impact on the figures of BRU airport. We all know that e.g. the EC and related bodies are major users of the airport: own staff travelling around; people visiting the EU bodies in Brussels; people attending events of the EU; family of expats...

Re: BRU Summer 2020: news, new routes, airlines

I need to go to Montreal in June, so I have plenty of choice.

I think I will take SN :D

Re: Brussels Airport monthly traffic figures

Nice figures. I think the figures for 02/2020 will also be not too bad: 1) Number of flights/seats to China from BRU is limited 2) Last year saw a drop in the figures (don't remember what happened at that time), so was special month anyway 3) There are 29 instead of 28 days in the month this time :D...

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal

SFH will not (yet) have the new cabin, right?

Which one will be next, I mean for getting the new cabin?

Or does another one first need maintenance?

SFF?

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2020

Hi all, In the B-Inspiration magazine the map indicates a 'new' destination: Antalya. I guess it was first dropped but now they decided to fly it again ? Maybe they have a new contract with a tour-operator ? Many destinations are not anymore on the map (as discussed here before): Reus, Girona, Almer...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2020

No newspaper anymore on long haul flights in Business with Brussels airlines. I find this completely outrageous and unacceptable!!!! With Lufthansa you can download your newspaper but you still have your papers on the plane in fact I never traveled on long haul in Business with an airline not offer...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2020

@all, Keep in mind the decision to have IAD (SN) year round is NOT a decision by SN, nor LH alone, but a common decision UA, LH, SN, LX ... They decide based on a network analysis, not some emotional/unilateral/... basis ... Whether it will be really succesful, we'll see, but at least they see the p...

Wondering where BRU will end up in terms of Total PAX for 2019.

Hopefully they still make it to the TOP 20 ??l
Last year they were only place 24, so no, they will not be in the top 20 either.

Seems that UA will also use the B787-1000 for the Chicago-Brussels route next summer

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2019

Prices to GVA for instance start at EUR 289 o/w on flex and fast.. return flight is close to EUR 600! They can at least still offer drinks on short Flights! Not a good idea to cut on premium pax. Cutting the meals on F&F goes against what CEO Christina Foerster said at Thursday's press conference. ...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2019

SN is still flying to Nantes today. Do they still plan to discontinue? Will end 23/11. See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brussels_Airport#Airlines_and_destinations Don't know if that information is correct, but that explains it ... BTW: in the November issue of B-Inspired following destinations can...

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal

It seems they are already shrinking the short/medium haul fleet right now. Not surprisingly since the winter season started and TC is not existing anymore. According to https://sites.google.com/site/lhgroupfleet/brussels - Czech Airlines planes are gone (I think originally part of those were meant t...

Re: BRU Summer 2020: news, new routes, airlines

Maybe, but if I check at several moments, there are only some at that price (one way). We want to go to a leisure destination for a week or 10 days at the end of the year or early next year (had no holidays yet) and most tickets are at much higher prices, e.g. 160€ in Januari to go to Tenerife (>300...

Wow, 40 flights to/from Africa in a year, that is quite a lot. Impressive. What type of business are you dong there? [I have this year 6 trips to Africa, Mozambique, so unfortunately not a destination I can fly SN]. A lot of drama-queens/kings here :D I fly a lot, have sometimes cancellations (ofte...
