Current runways in use at BRU:

BATC currently gives LDG on RWY01 but that has changed to 07L.

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2021

Seems SN has resumed conventional schedule, leaving BRU in the late morning instead of the afternoon.

With immediate return from outstations.

And SFE will run SN515 to IAD tomorrow.

According to the newest ATIS now: ARR 25L ARR 25R DEP 25R DEP 25L The FedPol G-11 chopper did a sweep of arrival path to RWY 01 around 1950LT. Re: BRU 13/06/2021 AF1

Just me guessing, there was a few moments ago a divertion from ANR (with landinggear issue) that requested 25R, An was refused and sent to rwy 01. So I guess 25R/07L is reserved for 'someone'. Unusual indeed instead of heading for AFI, then the leg North of BRU followed by the right hand to intercept the ILS. Maybe they requested this short cut to speed up the arrival? Reason? I seem to remember that many many years ago you could get this shorty when arriving after Beauvechain had closed ...

They tend to fly the second VC-25A as a spare. As for the paralell approaches that's pointless as most european airports doesn't meet the separation requirements for paralell ops. And many others have single runway ops. Rgds Welcome on board aviation24.be Spooky. Agreed for the backup reason. I'm s...

Re: BRU 13/06/2021 AF1

I say again : you can fool the bad guys only if they KNOW there are two aircraft arriving. Therefore, unless they are informed in advance, the first one to arrive will get the shot. Hence POTUS had better be in the second one. Arriving simultaneously and landing on different runways will make things...

Just did a quick check on Klasjet LY-KDT thanks to FR24. These guys are rather busy. Yes but, great circle distances :

BRU-LED : 1022 nm
CRL-LED : 1041 nm

Damn, comparison gets more complicated if we include taxi time to the RWY in use. ;)
