Re: Brussels Airport (BRU) infrastructure: future

Most positions on B Pier will have double bridges. Installation will be phased due to on-going Ops airside and the need to adapt the inside of the terminal.
All glass-walled like on the A Pier.

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2019

A couple of days ago I heard that details about the Reboot plan will be announced next Thursday.
Anyone to confirm the date ?

Next Thursday is November 7th. What a nice touch to pick that date and not a day before or after.

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2019

Open question : Has anyone experienced an unsolicited change in seat reservation lately? It happened to me 4 times (long haul) that the seat I had reserved ended up being changed (from window to aisle, no just a row number) later in the process. Outbound to ACC last week I saw that change in the SN ...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2019

Need to go to Bamako. CDG-BKO with AF is not appealing as I carry some bulky equipment. Solution out of BRU : via another airport in the region (DSS, ABJ, OUA, ...) then a connection with Air Senegal or Ivoire but no same-day transit available hence need to stay overnight. My preference goes for a h...

Air France plans to “comfortably densify the economy cabins” in order to compete with long-haul LCCs. "Comfortably densify"? I have my doubts! That is a beautiful " contradictio in terminis ". Not really. It's the cabin that gets denser, It's AF wallet that gets more comfy. As a colleague...

What is to be the "extra infrastructure"? Reactivation of a closed fighter base, perhaps? Or "only" more shelters &c at existing bases? Guess more shelters, related to the rather specific type of support this prima donna requires in the hangar. For example she eats 270 Volt DC instead of convention...

Re: Anomalies in BRU-ANR-CRL-LGG-OST in 2019

Somewhat similar to the daily "Ships in Port" Gazette published by harbours, here is BRU "Jets in Bed". Only one casualty today : SN245 BRU-FNA-ROB, Freetown-Monrovia STD 12:00. OO-SFD planned but replaced by SFF this morning, minutes before being cancelled. SFF was then put on the SN277 service to ...
