Re: Horror flight HU491 Beijing - Brussels / Hainan Airlines

The CAAC prohibits CAT3 landings, this is not a HU decision.

Re: Problems with Thomas Cook's leased B757 today?

Landing gear issue, I was actually just on the tarmac when it aborted the first landing climbing very steep with alot of noise! hln.be posted an article about it too.

You could also land in the B terminal, follow transfer, through security and enter in the B departure concourse again. No biggie!

I don't think they applauded because they're safe on the ground but they applauded because they landed "cool" in the grass. Why the hell couldn't it stop in time?

Re: Lufthansa cabin crew set to strike

If a flight is cancelled or delayed because of a strike by own staff, the airline is fully responsible for the damage to passengers. The strike indeed is avoidable: the company can accept the union demands, or the unions can call off their strike. So European legislation 261/2004 applies. This mean...

Re: JAF turns into scheduled airline + expansion

JAF likes to reschedule alot at the very last minute. If you are a frequent flyer on their leisure destinations your departure time is never confirmed and is always subject to change. How will they integrate this with connecting passengers? WIll they foresee staff in case of irregs many questions co...

Re: BRU winter 2011/2012: latest news, routes, airlines

If I understand correctly, on days 567, the 77W flies BOM-BRU-BOM and a 332 flies EWR-BRU-EWR. Only on days 1234 will the flight be operated by a 332 on its full routing BOM-BRU-EWR and v/v. This must be a logistic nightmare. Why make things so complicated? Probably because the 777 is overkill to E...

Re: Helsinki Airport security queue times tracked by Bluetoo

Actually BRU already has this measuring tool in place, except the information is used (for now) for internal use.

And as there is only one security checkpoint there is no point in guiding them to another direction ;)
