Re: Diversions from around the globe (medical, technical, ...) 2017

SN501 was already 3 hours late out of BRU, you would think with the wx forecast for JFK he would have had some holding fuel... very poor planning which will lead to a mega delay on the return... The old A333s are take off weight limited to JFK. They had to choose between cargo or fuel. On a day lik...

Hello

Just for your info: If you don't use the second leg of your ticket, you will not be able to return on the same ticket, as the return flight will be automatically cancelled. You always have to use all coupons of your ticket.

Re: BRU 26/06/14 - Belgocontrol strike likely to continue

Hello all It is not confirmed that all SN longhaul flights will divert. They still hope to operate the longhaul flights in -and out of Brussels tomorrow. All depends about situation tomorrow morning. A 'diversion' plan was prepared by SN and indeed EDDL was one of the options, but that's it! Pax wil...

Re: Brussels Airlines : cabin crew strike looming

Brussels Airlines is in trouble, all departments (believe me, all of them) work very hard to get it back on track (including management) and crew wants to go on strike and cause millions of loss for this company. Crew also gave a signal to work hard for the company and they signed an agreement a few...

Re: brussels airlines to New York!

Hello

A330-300 are flying to the US, not A330-200 as these will only be retrofitted at the end of this year. A319/320 aircraft from SN are not ready to load ULD's, only bulkload.

Re: brussels airlines to New York!

Hello After JFK Cameroon is the biggest challenge for SN in 2012. LX stopped operations in Cameroon and SN did a big increase of frequencies (+2 for DLA, +3 for NSI). As SN wants to keep the costumers of LX (and not let them leave to AF/QC/ET/KQ), it is important to have a good service, product,etc....

Re: brussels airlines to New York!

Dear OOSFW was the first aircraft with retrofit. Both OOSFM and OOSFW are with new cabin and IFE. So all pax to/from JFK will enjoy this new product. OOSFM was normally planned, but as it had some problems with IFE yesterday, they used OOSFW. In the meantime IFE OOSFM is working again. DLA/NSI and J...

Ferry flights to FBM OOMJE and OOLTM are postponed to the end of march.

OOMJE left today to Southend for painting.

On his return flights he will perform flights for b.air to European destinations (to train crew again).

LYS is one of the destinations, don't know the other ones...

For your info: It is only the liberal union, so not all unions. They are mad because they changed africa schedule without asking them. It is not SN who decided that, it is the governments of Ivory coast and Senegal that decided... SN management would have loved to keep their old schedule. I am Groun...

Re: Strike imminent at Brussels Airlines...

Hi I am also working at Ground Ops and worked very hard during ashcloud, snow and other irregs, but I don't feel like striking, but that will only cause more trouble for Ground Ops and more work afterwards. Brussels Airlines is a healthy company with a bright future ahead, let's keep it that way! Al...

Re: Brussels Airlines vs Air Sénégal

Just for your info:

For passengers nothing is changing. DKR was direct already before.

BRU-DKR-BJL-DKR-BRU
BRU-DKR-CKY-DKR-BRU
BRU-DKR-FNA-DKR-BRU

Flight were not triang. but vv-flights. So pax to and from DKR were always on direct flight.

The only change is that they will fly with Air Italy.

Re: Brussels Airlines vs Air Sénégal

Dear Indeed, why not daily DKR on A319. One problem: Catering has to be arranged in FNA, BJL and CKY (in FNA it is already impossible. BMI takes catering from LHR). Second problem: DKR does not have high yield pax, but has a lot of cargo (almost the best cargo station of SN) and no space for cargo o...

Re: Brussels Airlines vs Air Sénégal

Dear It is true (not from facebook, but from SN-source) Destinations beyond Dakar are Banjul, Freetown and Conakry (not Cotonou). Flights to DKR are now operated on direct flight (most of the time with A319 with a technical stop in AGP, sometimes with A333 direct, to avoid cargo backlog). Flights to...
