Birds ‘sabotage’ TNT 737 in Istanbul

Last week, birds managed to ground one of freight carrier TNT's 737s at Istanbul’s Ataturk airport. The 737’s pilots started up the auxiliary power unit (APU) before departing for Liege in Belgium, then noticed a sudden increase in temperature of the APU. The tower informed them that smoke was comin...

hey, Normally when sfa students visit our hangar they get the "full" tour :-) But i don't know if you are going to visit H117 or the hangar of sabena technics... These pictures are from H117. A c-check of an avro RJ 85/100 takes about 2 to 3 weeks, a BAe 146 takes about a week longer (beca...

BA Tech Yes we could do 30 minute turn arounds but we will be un-rested, unfed and fatigued. The company is not proposing to pay for this deterioration in conditions of service and much more importantly than that these changes represent a very real degradation of safety. The fault lies with the tot...

the problem is that they introduced it without an agreement with the unions! in our contract it's 40 min! do you mean that there is a line in your contract that the 'minimum' turn around time is 40min? on the other side i can agree with the cabin crew, BUT, brussels airlines is a 'new' company with...

why dont just try if you can make your checks in this turn-around time?

If its not possible we will start making delays and brussels airlines will automaticly addapt there procedures...

this will avoid the social unrest and eventually you will get what you want...

I saw that they removed the 'sn' on the A330 and placed a red B before the brussels airlines... (as well as on the RJ's)

I dont think they will repaint the A330 aircrafts.

and even if they would repaint it, I think they only repaint the tail...
