Does someone know if OO-SFB has been repainted?

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2018

@lucas: that’s exactly why it is promising. It seems the SN product will be different, at least for the long haul. I really hope they will get an all aisle access business class, which is more and more becoming the industry norm. If they get the current LH seats it would be a downgrade from their c...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2018

That’s promising news :) I was afraid SN would get the EW business class (which is actually the current LH business class seat (bad 2-2-2 configuration and no all aisle access)) and LH, Swiss and Austrian the new LH 2020 business class seat. But it seems that SN will get it’s own design. While I am ...

I guess Etihad might use their 787 to BRU in the future.

According to a CX insider on airliners.net one of the destinations starts with a B... They will also close a destination in Europe. So, will they move DUS to BRU? Cause wouldn't AMS, DUS and BRU be a little too much?

https://www.facebook.com/cathaypacificHK/videos/1174415822702119/ Here is the link. Seems their new destinations are all countries with a rich beer culture. You have to guess the countries based on the beers that appear on the screen. As there is 1 country with a huge nr of beers.... maybe Brussels ...

Re: TUI fly Belgium in 2017

Ow, does TUI really fly 2-4-2 on the 767? That's really a no go for me... Has it always been like that, I mean also on OO-TUC and their previous 767s?

Re: BRU Winter 2016-17: news, new routes, airlines

According to luchtvaartnieuws.nl and other international media Scoot (the LCC of Singapore Airlines) is planning to fly to 3-4 European cities in 2017. One of it's managers claims it won't be a 'traditional European destination'... Could Brussels be a possibility?

It can't be Emirates, cause I know they have nights stops and crew hotels in NY.

Re: Boeing 787 news

That will be interesting to see how big the difference is! I thought one inch less or more would be nonsense, but I was totally wrong. According to seat guru ANA's 787 seats in 3-3-3 are wider than Qatar's, so maybe it will be manageable (I hope for you).

Re: Boeing 787 news

I really wonder if it will make a difference if they stick to the 3-3-3 configuration. I agree with the article above. I avoid 787 in economy class, after an unpleasant experience on Qatar's 787. I would only make an exception for JAL, the only one flying the plane the way it was made for: 2-4-2. I ...

777 of QR in economy is one of the best in it's class, enjoy! The 788 however... :? Hope you have the dayflight, cause then it's bearable.

Re: The big loadfactor topic

Flew QR in October. BRU-DOH dayflight on 787: loadfactor approx 90% in economy. DOH-BRU nightflight on 787: loadfactor approx 30% in economy, which was very welcome cause the 787 in a 3-3-3 configuration is terrible. I even considered upgrading to business for the return flight, but decided not to d...

Re: 787 experiences?

I agree with the 2-4-2 configuration. Though I don't have the experience yet with it, but that seems very reasonable. 3-3-3 is definitely a no go IMO for the long haul, trust me. The second leg of my trip was with a 773 (QR has 3-3-3 on the 773) and the difference was huge (ofcourse the QR 773 econo...

787 experiences?

Just flew QR's 788 and I'm really disappointed. I'm small and slim (1m67 and 55 kg to give you an idea) and it's the first time that I experienced what it was like to be squeezed in an airplane. They paid so much attention to details (bigger windows, lighting and a way too fancy IFE (didn't have a c...

Re: EK (Emirates) comes to BRU

They're already using 777-300ER on the route. Out of 7 flights so far, 4 were with a 773.
