Re: Future of airlines: bankrupt, seased operations, restructurations

If we consider the loss of Air India and the loss of SAA, Kaizer CS will have a problem with STAR, TG is also in the problems.... 3 members in difficulties Plus SN, OS, EW... You have forgotten Air Belgium in your list. Their world tour for Safrans du Monde failed, and they haven't realized the cap...

Re: Austrian Airlines in 2019

Amazing how about every single topic here turns into an anti Brussels Airlines topic. Please, tell us something positive about SN at the moment. I fly regularly to Asia, via Vienna. Convenient airport, convenient flight schedules,... Quite often the VIE-BRU flight is with SN. Flight attendants (pil...

Re: Transavia to fly from BRU with 2 Boeing 737s in Summer 2020

[I share the same opinion as Inquirer. That market is already overcrowded. Destinations have not been announced yet, but one can only think they'll start with the most popular ones Indeed 737MAX, let's see what routes they announce. I really do hope they go for the less obvious routes like Zurich, ...

Re: 2019 Liège Airport (LGG/EBLG) latest news

No surprise it was only a few charters (no, the idiots didnt win) It was indeed a contract for 6 charter flights, but it has been agreed not to accept such a contract anymore ! So the "idiots" might still have won a battle 😉 Charters for a Dutch company, who wanted only QR to fly from Maastricht. R...

Re: TUI fly Belgium in 2019

Strange that TUI flies to Miami only in Summer. Miami is rather a winter destination for Americans trying to escape the cold of the Northern cities of New York and Chicago! I don’t think many Americans take TUI to fly from New York or Chicago to Miami. I think you would be surprised !! Last ...

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal

Sorry to have deviated from the topic, but the discussions are related: SN will be able to renew its fleet only if it can show a healthy profit, and BRU can and should help SN make a profit. It's in everybody's interest! Complete nonsense. BRU shouldn’t do anything for SN. It’s up to SN to become h...

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal

But like we could read here like BRU has to invest more in SN is not possible bcs LH is the main share holder. It's a bit easy to say investment must come from the shareholder; in today's world, we speek about 'stakeholders' and this includes ALL beneficiaries, also those who do not OWN the company...

Re: Brussels Airport (BRU) infrastructure: future

It's scandalous again no electricity at the airport and the waiting time for the passport control for the African flights is HUGE till gate A55!!!! Big mess here ....this is crazy. No communication from Brussels Airlines people are panicking really bad service. Incidents continue in a very frequent...

Re: BRU Summer 2020: news, new routes, airlines

A little off-topic, I have a small question: Why Brussels Airlines and Air New Zealand do not work together between BRU and Heathrow (codeshare)? If you would booking a flight between BRU and LAX (for example) with Air New Zealand, you need a connection in LHR Terminal 2 (Star Alliance). But the BR...

Re: Brussels Airport (BRU) infrastructure: future

With all due respect……………. LOL !!! This is worse than amateur window dressing from BRU. I hope BAC realises the urgency of getting a new departures area ASAP. Apart from the vague, dreamy "2040" plans I haven't seen a single real, tangible plan. The current drop off, taxi and bus area are absolutel...

Re: BRU Summer 2020: news, new routes, airlines

Regarding leisure flights, as far as I remember they have an agreement with Thomas Cook as SN is not selling leisure flights on their own. So SN is receiving a fixed price. Correct me in this if I'm wrong But, Leisure flights should be the minor part, even not 50%. Business is the main purpose. Eve...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2019

There is probably a more logical solution, and more economic ?? AIR BELGIUM If AF, British A, LOT etc. make long term ACMI agreements withAir Belgium, why can't SN. If SN would use one or 2 AB planes for a few weeks, for JFK and IAD, they would probably loose less money (revenue) and certainly cause...

Re: Brussels Airport (BRU) infrastructure: future

The next point, comes always back, is the direct connection of the E40 from Leuven to BRU. Working on the airport, I very much welcome the idea. But is there already any idea on how it would run? Because between the airport and the E40 there is some pretty densely populated area. About A-pier West,...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2019

I mean: same route BRU-MOSCOW is served 21 times by AEROFLOT, only 5 times by BRUSSELS AIRLINES. SN also has connections. SN simply underperforms on many destinations. Long way to go. With such a statement, it's obvious you know the load factor. Can you share that with us please? Same for the yield...

When you see Moscow is only served 5 times a week ( 21 times by Aeroflot !!), Bordeaux, Bristol, Prague,..hardly once a day. Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal

Dear OO-SFY we already miss you. A lot. OO-SF Z was planned to run SN515 to IAD today, STD 1015LT According to Flightstats.com, at 0757 this morning, Zulu was replaced by Bravo with ETD 1200. Actual time of departure 1241, two and a half hour late. OO-SF B being "diverted" to IAD, she could not run...
