Spotters flight with SUKHOI in AMS 2OCT16

Dear colleague spotters, We, at The Aviation Factory, have the possibility to do a 1,5 hour flight (block times) with the Sukhoi Superjet 100 from Cityjet. Flight would depart and land in Amsterdam Schiphol. To break even, price per seat would be 130 euro per passenger. This would only be interestin...

De-icing of runways

Is it possible to use regular salt on runways, taxiways or aircraft stands?

I know it would be corrosive but is it really prohibited to use regular salt on an airfield?

Thx :)

Re: Pier A/T or Pier B ?

in reality the flight will dock at the correct terminal upon arrival and the departing passengers (waiting in the other terminal) will simply be bussed to it for its next departure. In normal circumstances the aircraft will be docked at the departure terminal. It's lot easier to use busses for arri...

Re: Pier A/T or Pier B ?

I was waiting a LX flight to FLR via ZRH last wednesday 31 of july 2013. Flight was on time at 15.00. I saw the boarding of SN flight to Lomé and Abidjan at Terminal A/T. At the same time...14h35 for the two flights...the SN flight to Douala and Yaoundé was parked at gate B 40. And the screen says ...

Re: SN to Africa - one cancellation per day

Since when do they suffer from an everyday cancellation on the AFI flihts? Which of the A330 is involved? SFO is in Malta for a C-check. SFY has been out for a couple of days as well, don't know the reason. SFY had an engine stall just before take off in Brussels, engine has te be replaced ;)

Re: From Brussels Terminal T or B ?

So departing from Concourse B is a win-win situation... I wouldn't call it a win-win situation. I would call it the best solution ;) Business pax will not be able to enjoy SN's best lounge (and the IAD-flight is important for business traffic) and European connections (most transfers will be Scheng...

Re: From Brussels Terminal T or B ?

B-pier it will be. Why? The IAD flight will leave in the afternoon so the T terminal will be empty... Simple... At 16.45, lot's of space at Concourse B. If IAD would depart from T zone, gates starting from A61 until A72 will not be available until around 17.15 which means not enough capacity for sh...

Re: BRU 06/02/2013: First Boeing 747-8 in BRU

All, I have received enough evidence in the meantime that I have to conclude that I have been misled. N6067U did not make a stop in BRU and so LX-VCF was indeed the first B747-8 to visit BRU. My sincere apologies to those members on this board that I would not believe what you said as well as to Br...

Re: BRU 06/02/2013: First Boeing 747-8 in BRU

According to Brussels Airport this was the very first 747-8 at BRU I'm afraid we'll have to correct Brussels Airport then. According to my information, the first B747-8 visited in Dec 2011 already. N6067U was on a presentation flight to Frankfurt when it made a stop in Brussels. I have a friend who...
