Re: Brussels Airlines in 2024
Brussels Airlines can finally demonstrate its strength to Africa Cheap long-haul flights, assistance to subsidiaries or regional transport: Lufthansa has had many half-hearted ideas for SN. Today, there is a plan with substance: SN must develop Africa for the group. The continent is seen as the las...

Re: EgyptAir stewardesses begin wearing hijab
It’s a choice. No one’s business actually, forbidding it is exactly the same and forcing it.. as long as it’s a personal choice, it should not bother anyone. same for alcohol. It should not be banned for religious reasons, passengers should be free to choose between a beer or a Coca Cola, I hope MS ...

Re: Brussels Airport compared to other European airports
You can’t compare.. 2 very different markets. Location as well. As mentioned above, BRU is in the Center of europe with a lot of competition 60- 90 minutes train trip away actually. In many cities that’s the time to get to the main airport from city Center. Besides Warsaw is in the periphery of the ...

Re: 2023 Antwerp Airport (ANR/EBAW) latest news
For those living in Antwerp, or north or east of the city CRL is not really an option.. ANR is super convenient. Not everybody lives in Antwerp. You'd be surprised how many people live in the 'parking lot'. Flights from ANR are targeting people living in the area. Just like at any other airport. Bu...

Re: 2023 Antwerp Airport (ANR/EBAW) latest news
How do prices on this route compare between Tuifly and Ryanair ? Why compare with Ryanair from an airport 2 hours away? What do you mean, 2 hours away ? From where I live, it takes me 14 minutes longer to get to CRL than it takes me to get to ANR. That's a difference of 14 minutes, not 2 hours. For...

I think that frequencies will increase soon after the launch
Of the route.

Re: Brussels Airport (BRU) infrastructure: future
Hi, Vision 2040 is not existing anymore. The satellite is now fully taken by the police for the next 5 years. By then a whole new building will be constructed for them. Still uncertain, at this moment, what the future will be for the satellite. The airport still needs to recover from the pandemic a...

Re: BRU Summer 2023: news, new routes, airlines
Seriously... how old are you? Nobody is bashing SN here, and I didn't read frustration anywhere. Crew 1990- you are clearly looking at it from an emotional point of view, a point of view which is seldomly used by managers, this probably explains why you don’t understand the decision making process....

Re: Brussels Airport (BRU) infrastructure: future
I tend to agree as well. Beside the fact the outside looks kind of sovietic, the inside and the functionnality of the airport are for me ok. The only thing wich really need a change are more custom officer to avoid long queues. And on a functionnal aspect, all star alliance airlines should be in th...

Re: Brussels Airport (BRU) infrastructure: future
Arrived at the B Pier yesterday. Oh my, the overall 'look' of this pier looks terribly dated. Knowing BRU, I was expecting some old fashioned 'infrastructure' at B-Pier, but even I was surprised... Seriously BAC, you have to accelerate the renovation of your old fashioned airport! Practically all E...

It seems that only payment by card is accepted. That's illegal. There is a Recommendation from the European Union (2010/191/EU) that cash (banknotes and coins) must be accepted, unless both parties have agreed otherwise: ... Where a payment obligation exists, the legal tender of euro banknotes and ...

Re: 2022 Brussels South Charleroi Airport (CRL/EBCI) latest news
It is not decent to charge for the toilets. But if they Really insist to do that, they must also install a machine that Accepts cash. So if one’s card isn’t working for whatever Reason.. people will start peeing in public spaces. Not every traveler possesses a bank card. Think of teenagers or Kids t...

Re: Air Belgium in 2022
Cargo is beneficial without any doubt, but PAX flight to USA and LATIN AMERICA would certainly be more interesting for a Belgian public. And bring in much needed DOLLARS. There is no need, no market, no reason to start those flights. Air Belgium has no network. United, Delta, SN are already on the ...

Re: Air Belgium in 2022
Besides, best publicity is cheap flights! They offered dirt cheap flights to South Africa in both economy and business. Most people search and compare fares. When an airline suddenly pops up offering cheaper flights than the competition, people notice. I think that This is the best way to attract at...

Re: Air Belgium in 2022
In the past, they had commercials on the street billboards all over Brussels (I don't know in Flanders). But I agree that they should try to be in the flemish/Dutch newspapers more, especially when opening a new route, an article about it would be nice and doesn't even cost money. Also, the federal...

Less and less people are actually watching and/listening to “traditional” media.. just look at the numbers of people terminating TV connections.. and plummeting figures for radio listeners.. I know many people booking their flights to JNB from northern Belgium. They have hea...

Hi, Strange as you see... that RTM ( 3* daily ) and AMS ( BA+KLM) and LUX all got this connection... Flights in ANR weren't that bad on the route .. Even EIN has a 3* daily rotation to STN... So nothing new for ANR is indeed strange... BA with E175 even TUI with E190 could be working... The new FLY...
